Pre Collision Assist Light On

I have this indicator light on the dash. Just popped up the other day and won’t turn off. Looked it up in manual and appears to be the pre-collision assist I think. Checked the windshield and bumper sensors and both appear to be clean. Can anyone help? Really don’t want to go to dealer if I can avoid it.

I've had same light randomly pop up. But it'd turn off not long after. Mine seemed to be when windshield was dirty and facing the sun and other time was when it was raining real bad. I figured it was from dirty and rain but it turned off hasn't stayed on like that.

Are you getting a notification on the dash when you turn the truck on or are driving?
it’s a constant light? I had mine but it was intermittent and the module for the pre collision assist was not communicating
I had to take it to the dealership and everything was covered under warranty

I did notice it started when it rained. But light hasn't gone off and has been two days now. Very annoying.

No notification. It is constant yes. If it continues I will have to take it. Just was hoping someone knew how to fix issue.

Mine has only happened like twice in the year I've owned it. It turn on then not long after off.
You think that's something possibly not communicating or possible dirt and rain

That's strange that it is on for no reason. It is a sensitive thing, though. Mine comes on every morning when the bright morning sun blinds it. Once I get passed that it goes off. May just need a reset.

I messed with sensitivity thinking that was it and nothing changed.

how do you do a reset?

Oh, I assume the dealership can do that...I don't know...I was just spitballin'.

I have an XLT with only 600 miles on it. I started getting the pre-collision alert symbol occasionally popping up on the dash for a second or two than disappearing. While inside the cab, I took a look at the camera housing located on the top center of the windshield. The black plastic cap was slightly loose. I pressed it toward the roof and the cap snapped back together. I have only driven the truck about 15 miles since snapping the cap back together, but I have not had the pre-collision alert symbol come on since. Could be just a fluke, but worth a try. Just FYI.

I have a 24' XLT 302A and this started on my way home from the dealership (Less than 100mi). I had adaptive cruise on and suddenly the dash lit up and the pre collision light has been on every since.

Had truck in on Friday and they are installing new sensors.

Guys, check this out because it could be this simple like it was for me. Had that light on when I picked up my KR from service. Verified ACC set up correctly. Pushed the Lane keep/centre button on the steering wheel and it went off. In other words, the service dept. had turned it off while driving it.

it tricked me for a while, because I always believed that lane keeping/centering reset to on at each startup; in my case it persisted across startups?‍

Got my truck back from dealer. Apparently just a lose connection to one of the modules. They also ended up updating all the modules as well. I have been light free since Tuesday. So hopefully an easy fix that doesn't come back in the future.

Did you ever get it resolved > ours has been an ongoing issue. Sensor not dirty, not rainy where we live, has seemed to be impacted by direct sun perhaps.
