Anybody have their 24 built and/or delivered yet?

Oh yeah.. I get it.

My family was a GM family growing up. If I ignore the lifter issues and stuff (that GM has resolved), then I still tend to think that.. if I wanted to buy a truck long-term, a Chevy/GMC might be the choice. The same thing that I deemed as "negatives" can also be positives.. just depends on what you are looking for;

- The 6.2L V8 will have parts forever. Anybody can work on them. Generally cheaper to fix. And if they stop "improving" it for 0.1 extra MPGs or .01% less emissions, it's reliable.
- If you're a thinner (or "normal" lol) person, the seats might be great.
- No twin-sunroof means no fixing it every few years or addressing leaks in 5+ years (if not garage kept).
- NAV Screen - Who really cares.. I know where I'm going.
- Less tech = less to break
- etc.

Well.. if you decide to defect (lol), A "Downpour Metallic" Denali with 22" Chromes (or polished aluminums) is a nice truck (that's what I was looking at).

Going to the GMC dealer next Tuesday to look at this one. Time will tell.

Mate I really feel for you....

I did that dance as well per another thread.... Found a Denali V8 with moonroof in the mid $60's so went and drove it while getting beaten around the head by the Ford dealers on my 2021 F150 trade....

I didn't like the fact that the GMC hood is so much higher than the F150 and combined with the glass cutout in the F150 door meant the F150 hands down has better all round vision for me.... the Denali felt like I was looking out of a post box and then I wasn't a fan of the moonroof size or screen config with airplay either... I'm getting a bit set on how I like my creature comforts (according to my 21 yr old son and the war office)...apparently...

Getting back to your order.... did you receive a confirmation email from Ford when you first placed your order (mine came within minutes of placing the order)....?

It doesn't sound right that you've had no movement at all...

My delivery time si the same week as yours for Granger. I've been keeping track of the train and mine truck is east of Kansas City right now.

I've given up on my order status page. It went from built back to order received last week and hasn't changed. I found Chat being the best to find info.

how you find out exactly where your truck is if you don't mind ? says mine was built 5/10, and Shipped 5/11 but has estimated date of arrival of 5/22-6/06, shipped via convoy and what I've read that's like 2-3 days ,but I'm just getting greedy because my order has gone way easy

Mine arrived 4 days earlier than the earliest date given. I was told 5/14 to 5/27, but the truck arrived at Granger on the 10th, although they didn't contact me until yesterday. The email was from finance asking a number of general questions and letting me know while the truck was there, it wasn't ready for pickup yet. It's a Dearborn build if that means anything.

SingleSpeed, you made some good points and I agree with most of them, but after waiting 6 months for the Lariat and with no delivery date update, I have reached the end of my rope. My big concern is what problems will I have in the future with this truck. I'm 80 years young and this is going to be my last truck purchase and I have been saving for this truck for 2 years now and I just want it over. I have been a Ford guy all my driving life and this decision I might make is killing me. I'm going to the GMC dealer next Tuesday and look at their trucks and do a lot of soul searching. Thanks for your input, well taken.

Do a good test drive, my brother has one Denali ultimate 2023 and its a good truck very smooth ride but its hard to drive it in the city the turn is to wide and feel to bulky, I have a ram 1500 limited 2019 and feels more easy to drive and when I test all the trucks I feel very easy to drive the ford and that why I didn't choose the GMC and also because I want a powerboost engine and the power on board is really nice also im interested in the pro access tailgate, I order an F150 in Sept 16 and It was delivered by mid April but it didn't have the pro access tailgate so I placed another order and now im waiting on it, I have a production date now for mid June so I hope this time it goes right!

maybe you can search for inventory at the dealers Ive seen a few Lariats available online

It's been 7.5 months since Order Confirmed, but today I noticed the "Built" area has a date of 12 May, although the green dot still resides in the Order Confirmed section. Ford Chat did say it has a delivery time frame of 14-20 May, so I've got that going for me......... ? ?

Tracker now states Shipped and Final Preparation (green dot) 5/15 I should get a call very soon !!!

I received an email from Ford when I placed my order back in Nov 23. After that I didn't get much from Ford. Did the chat venture, called Ford Marketing, still nothing on update except was build and on Quality hold. That was back in January 24. Finally my dealer got an update for me that the truck was at the Ford plant in Kansas, and a map showing its location. That was back in early April. Far as I know it's still there. I have given up on Ford, cancelling my order and more than likely going to purchase a GMC Denali with more equipment and a savings of $1645.00 plus $3000.00 in discounts and incentives. I will keep you posted. Thanks to all who responded.

Ya I am just kinda over it. The 31st of this month will be 9 months from when I placed my order. I talked with Chip and was basically told at 9 months I can get a refund of my deposit. Which I may do and just wait and order a MY25. Absolutely ridiculous the way Ford has handled this
