You are going to hate me. Rode my Harley to Myrtle Beach on vacation so this works out good that the trucks are delayed. They are really going to hate me at work when I leave for another mini vacation to pick up the truck from Granger; oh well.

Hadn't seen that before, I guess my fully loaded PowerBoost is slightly heavier. I took the 63X on mine so older tailgate.

Hmm... check my options list below.. what do you have that I don't? I have a Pro-Access Tailgate truck and I seem to have more payload (not by much lol). Pretty sure I got every option available:

I wonder if the PAT is actually lighter than the power tailgate with rear step? The PAT tailgate might need less "bracing" inside the tailgate maybe? The "old" step inside the tailgate sticks out and can hold over 300lbs... I imagine there's a bit of extra steel inside those tailgates.

Differences I see on my side:
+ FX4
+ BAP
- Max Recline

Those appear to be the major differences. The minor diffs are:
- wheel well liners
- bed divider
- wheel locks
+ Tonneau cover

But not sure those play into it

Here is a side-by-side comparison of my 2021 (left side) and 2024 (right side) with the same options. 2021 had a tailgate step and 2024 has the PAT. The 2024 has less payload and lots less in towing.

Ford.com shows 10,800lbs towing.

I noticed the values from that website are much less than the values in the Towing Brochure at https://www.vdm.ford.com/content/da...pdf/2024-Ford-RV-and-Trailer-Towing-Guide.pdf
Definitely goes to show how much payload affects tow capacity.

But now that you mention that, I noticed this a while back and forgot, but us PB guys should have an 18,400lb GCWR according to the towing guide (w/ T/H package), and the calculator only shows 17,100lb. Not that any of us will ever get anywhere close to this with ~1,300lbs of payload capacity, but just inconsistent.

Ahh.. OK. The FX4 must add more weight than the PAT then? The BAP is just swapping out like for like parts but different colors.

And on another note.. since any change is progress to me.. someone cancelled my Ford Pass activation this morning (I tried to activate last Wednesday). Hopefully that means someone was in the truck moving it or something.

I hope there is progress. My activation is still pending since Friday. Curious if there is a timeout?
