I still want to do mine ( just cause its possible), I have already got the 21 ipma and had Jesse program it, Just been so busy havent done it. I want to install it in my truck so I can still use it and send him the original ipma and have him installl the chip in it.

I happened to be out last night and tried my APA again. I was trying it with perpendicular parking (backing in). First time it cancelled because there was a curb on the other side and the front tires bumped into the curb as it was correcting it's angle of attack, and I stopped it before it went up the curb. Second attempt at a different spot worked fine and did a good job. It made me nervous how close it gets to another car while backing in before stopping and pulling forward to correct the angle. But all in all, it worked and did it relatively quickly.

Yes. Jesse has the list of necessary updates. If I remember right, some were specific to the truck depending on model and features. I also exchanged messages with Jesse during the camera recalibration since the DTCs were getting in the way. I needed to do things in a certain sequence. Jesse has all the info. Over all, it was a pretty simple update.

Understood. What was your part number? I'm looking at two on ebay now. IPMA NL3Z-14G647-A and ML3T-14G647-NA but can't tell the difference. Both have the two camera green and brown ports.
The newest one just replaced is ML3T-14647-NA. With Blue Cruse and park assist

Update. Sorry for the delay. I have finally tested the IPMA with the chip added back and it does indeed work 100%

So now you can if you wnat add the ship back to your OEM IPMA and have APA added back.

Good news.
Awesome news Jesse!!! I have a '23 F-150 Lariat ( 1FTFW1E85PFD19897) with BlueCruz and 360 and would love to get APA and Pro Hitch working. Would you recommend to have the chip added to the existing IPMA or swap with a reprogrammed '21 IPMA? Do you have pricing for each option?

Its turned out to be easier to replace the IPMA. Winds up being the same price the the 21 IPMA indeed PMI fine in all years of truck.

Ive gotten pro hitch to work on my 21.

Message me if youre wanting to do it.

I've tried to read the whole thread but my eyes glazed over by about page 15.

I have a '21 Job 1 XLT with Co-Pilot 360 Assist 2.0. A yaw sensor was shipped with the truck but the 12-pin socket had only 2 wires populated. I replaced the rear wiring assembly with ML3Z-13A576-PK to enable use of a wired trailer camera and TPMS. I've also updated all ECU modules to the latest available in FDRS.

My truck has only 4 parking sensors front and rear. The new rear wiring assembly has connectors for the outboard sensors. What more do I need to enable active park assist? I know that's front and rear outboard sensors, at a minimum. I may also need a front wiring assembly for those outboard sensors.

Adding the extra sensors requires mounting locations on the bumpers. How is that accomplished? Can I buy specific parts without replacing the whole bumper?

If this involves splicing wires or replacing the whole bumper, I'm out. But if it's less than that, I'm willing to consider the cost and level of effort.

If a summary document exists, that would be ideal. If there's a parts list buried somewhere in the thread, a hint as to how to find it (user name?) would help, too.

Thanks.

I'm pretty new to the forum, anyone know the best way to get a hold of @Jesse-Infotainment? I clicked on his name and started a conversation with him back in June and haven't heard anything. Thanks.

I am looking at installing APA/pro hitch. I have all 12 bumper sensors and park button, both seem to be working fine. Coding APIM and IPMA gets me the park display but then park assist fault. No codes are set. I assume the IPMA needs additional hardware, correct? This is an 2021 XLT w/o copilot but does have 360 cameras.
