Ok guys, well I FINALLY got my JL Audio Amp installed and I am telling you the overall sound is amazing... not, "I removed one speaker" amazing... I mean amazing.... For the first time since Ive owned the truck the volume hurts my ears.
We had a few naysayers about digital to analog to digital to whatever and none of that came into play. As my Audio guy said last November, we can go stright off the ACM to the Amp to the rear door speakers. Done deal.
After many postponements, holidays and snowfalls we were able to finally meet up and get the install done.
He intercepted the speaker wire from the ACM in the rear door, ran a new wire to the JL Audio amp and back to the speakers.
The overall increase in rear cabin volume is what we have been missing. Many bandaid fixes of partially setting fade to rear and\or removing front center speaker... None of that is necessary anymore, matter of fact he also installed my new Kenwood center channel speaker.
The amp I used is the JL XD200/2v2:
If you are looking for more volume on the cheap, I highly recommend this route. It works...
