Well that bites. It's there. Just turn it on Ford!!!
It's a great safety feature. We pay a lot for these trucks and tow with them. Throw us a bone already!
Super Duty feature. We aren't supposed to have it at all.
No one tows with an F-150 in Ford's world.

Anyone have pictures of this in action on 2023? I’m interested in trying it.

Only works on 2023 trucks.
May work on others if Ford decides to upgrade us but not holding my breath.
Works on my 21 because my friends always flip me off when the camera comes on when riding in my truck! Lol

I have a '23. Does this work when a trailer is not plugged into the truck, or will this only kick in when a trailer is attached? I want to implement this either way, but I'm curious if a trailer has to be attached or not, before I make the Forscan changes. Thanks!

Trailer must be attached for the cameras to operate, but you can toggle the feature on/off in the menu w/out a trailer attached.

When applying the changes through Forscan

This line was able to be saved without issues
APIM 7D0-02-03 xxxx x8xx xx--

I get an error message "Service procedure has been interrupted" when trying to save this line
IPMA 706-01-02 3xxx xxxx xx

I attempted multiple times and also turned the truck off and back on and reconnected. Everything I tried, produced the same results with the error.
*Edit: I updated to the latest version of Forscan (2.3.57) and also switched from using my OBDLink MX+ (Bluetooth) to my ODBLink EX (USB) and got the same results.

Any thoughts on why the truck might not like that 2nd line being adjusted?

Thanks in advance!

Awesome news! I have a 22 PB. Just did the IPMA update last night. Made the changes above and now I have camera with turn signal when trailer is connected! I just backed up to trailer enough to connect pigtail this is the right turn signal on. Works even in park

I can confirm his results. I did the IPMA update today with FDRS. It's a time consuming one. A couple of hours. The update updates multiple modules.
However, it works!!
Only with a trailer attached, but it's a very cool feature. Don't know why Ford didn't make it available before. Technically, they haven't made it available now because it still requires user intervention to enable through forscan.
But we're a smart group that likes to get things done.
Good luck!

I updated my truck last week and just got around to enabling the camera turn signals. Very cool feature. Tested with my bike rack that has trailer lights on it, (we run the rack on a car). Truck detected it as a trailer and everything worked as expected.

using something like this would work also to have the feature on all the time.

Did you side load the IPMA update? I thought only '23 had it.

No, Ford released the IPMA update for the 22's last week and the 21's this week. No side loading required. FDRS is only needed.
