I don't think I'm missing out on anything. There are just some odd things the Sync does. For instance, I get a text and it reads aloud to me, the source is then set to my phone and not the FM it was before the text came in. I just thought some of these updates might be little patches or fixes.

No, if you are behind on updates, the updates still need to be installed sequentially. You won't just get one update that brings you up to date on one shot.

Last OTA you got was 6.2.0 on 10/24. You are not fully up to date, but not terribly behind, either.

Last OTA you got was 6.4.0, so almost fully up to date as far as power-up updates go.

Best thing I can arm you with is the GSM below that Ford released to dealers on 10/26 advising them of what the latest Sync version for each vehicle is. Seems to me like they did not PMI the new APIM they put in your truck in May of last year. I don't think your case is an easy one and they will have to involve Ford engineers.

One more question, I think the last time you checked for me you said it looked like my air dam was disabled, can you tell if it is still reporting that?

Last OTA was 4.2.4, so you are missing all the 6.x.x update and a lot of the PU updates as your OTA history does not show any of those.

As far as DTC's go, the ones your truck is recording are nothing to be worried about if your truck is not giving you any problems.

Thank you and C. Mays for the info! What's the best way to get fully up to date? Any way to get my dealer to do all of these? I have a service appointment in a few weeks but when I asked them if I was fully up to date last week they said yes...

Ford does not pay dealers to perform module updates even under warranty. I would not have high expectations that they will help as nobody likes to work for free and based on your list of pending updates, there is a full day worth of module programming there to get you up to date.

Best way to do it is invest in the tools needed to update the truck yourself. Otherwise, you are at the mercy of the OTA process.

I recently bought this truck and would like to have the vin checked for updates because my about sync screen shows no version info. The Vin is 1FTFW1E85MFB20473. I have also attached an image of the about screen. If there is a way to update this without the dealership I would like to know what software and caThanks in advance.
