I have the same issue with my 2022 F150 King Ranch. Also have same issue with my wifes 2022 Expedition. Had a lot of trouble last winter with front windows not working while rear windows work. Talked to my dealer and over the phone he could look up vins and tell each day it had a fault. Did not say anything about a fix. Well issue seemed to be non existent all summer but first cold day we had my windows are no longer working in morning. They do seem to work fine later in the day. I suspect it has something to with cold weather.

If anyone has heard of a fix I would like to know bc it is pretty aggravating. Thanks

Just thought I'd chime in on this as I stumbled across this thread when my windows didn't work this morning.

Same situation as the OP, I use the remote start function of the Ford app to start my truck this morning. It'd probably been running for about 5 minutes and the windows were slightly frosted but not frozen. I got in the truck hit the engine start stop button ran my wipers to clear the windshield, then decided to run the driver and passenger side windows up and down once just to clean the condensation off. But my windows wouldn't go up and down. I tried the back ones and they worked.

I did a quick internet search and found this thread, and I thought to myself, if it's got something to do with the Data bus that controls the front windows, maybe something else on the window switch can reset it. So I decided to try pressing the window safety switch...BUT because I was driving I accidentally pushed the mirror fold in switch. Well the mirrors didn't fold in, but when I tried my front windows they were now working. After checking the windows down and then up, I press the mirror folding button again in the mirrors folded in. I unfolded the mirrors in the windows were still working.

So if this happens to you, try pressing your mirror fold button and see if that fixes it. Got to love the digital age in our trucks.

This happened again over the weekend. So after reading this, I thought I'd try pressing my mirror select button. It worked! Stupid we have to do this to be able to roll down the front windows. But it worked....

Same thing happened to me the other day. Had not yet seen this thread. My vehicle was remote started. It was very early morning and still dark, I also noticed the driver and passenger door switches were not lit but were dark. Next time I came back and started the truck, everything was normal again. Will try the mirror trick if it happens again. Kinda dumb this happens though.

Did you remote start with the app or fob when the windows wouldn't work?

I don't believe it has anything to do with remote start. I never use the app and sometimes will start with remote but windows have failed to work with remote start and just push to start button. My wife's new expedition does same thing and she never remote starts. Turning truck off getting out getting back in and restart will not fix the issue either.

Did you try hitting the mirror select button and retrying the window? A member above suggested it, and it worked for me. Stupid you have to do that to roll down your window. But it's awork around till Ford can figure out what causes it.

Mine did it again and after seeing this thread I tried the mirror button and then magically they worked!

Thanks everyone for your input.

I did not at that time. I will try that going forward if it happens again.

Same thing here.. used app to start. Had frost on front windows.. thought they were frozen but then noticed rears worked perfect. Pulled over, restarted truck.. still not working in the front(s). Folded mirrors and boom.. we’re back!

saw someone else with this issue on a YouTube vid.. hopefully can be fixed via update soon.

After owning my Tesla trust me I can live with this quirk.

Teslas are way more buggy. Case in point intermittent wipers that never work at all. How's that one!!

I found this thread as I have the exact same issue on my 2023 F-150 King Ranch, after using the ford app to start, then go to use windows and they are dead unless I hit the mirror button. I can live with it too but seems pretty annoying. Will follow this thread for a fix
