You are correct. APIM OTA 6.3.0 failed 3 times in December with the same error code:

"errorCode":"DiffSpaceCheckFailed(83)""errorCategory":"ERROR_CATEGORY_ALM(3)""ecuId":"2000""fpn":"PU5T-14H212-AFF"

It seems like one of the files inthe update packet is not correct for your truck and the update keeps failing. There is nothing you can do but wait for the mothership to get her sh*t together and send you the right files.

If you will be so kind as to also check 1FTEW1EP0MKD63604 I'd be much obliged.

Last OTA you got was APIM update 23-PU0724-DOM-RS in September and nothing since. You are missing the 6.x.x updates, so you're not terribly behind. Nothing you can do but wait your turn in the OTA lottery.

Can I get a Check on 1FTFW1E87NFA50301, I get download failed messages, then nothing for weeks then same thing repeats.
I mentioned this to when it was in for a leaking left rear axle seal, they replaced the seal and axle from the paper work, couldnt get a straight answer what caused the leak, except that there was damage on the splines so they replaced the axle too, only took a week.

Thank you, I have tried all the tricks to get it to take an OTA. I was aware that it had never received one, glad you were able to confirm in.

Your dealer will most likely not help since Ford does not pay them to update modules even under warranty. I would recommend looking into a Mongoose and doing the updates yourself.

Ruge, can you check my VIN 1FTFW1E82MFB07129? It said I had an update that was to install tonight but when I went back out to the truck it‘s gone. The truck said it’s on 6.4.0 but Ford Pass says 6.3.0 from Dec 1st. My truck has been pretty good about updates and I’ve always given them time to download but this one is baffling. Thanks!

The OTA failed early into the process. It never even got to download any of the files. The reason why it failed is unclear. Nothing you can do at this point but wait for it to be resent.

Your situation is different. Your truck is on Sync 20262 which is broken software from 2020 and your truck has not recorded an update in almost 3 years. You need to schedule an appt with your dealer and tell them your truck hasn't gotten an update in that much time. They need to manually update your APIM or diagnose it as faulty and replace it with a new one. It is a somewhat common issue with early 2021 trucks. Until this is done, your truck will never get any OTA updates.

Well took it into the dealer today and they’re adamant that it’s somehow fully updated. I might try another dealership, but it looks like I might be ordering a Mongoose cable and trying to do it myself.

Not surprised. The thing is, the state your truck is in will be very difficult to circumnavigate around even with FDRS and a Mongoose. Before you invest in the tool, I would PM Jesse with your VIN and a picture of your "about sync" screen so he can check your truck to see if he thinks you will be able to update it. The process to manually update an APIM to get it out of the 20262/20301 purgatory requires a serious of USB/ethernet cables and plugging into the APIM itself to recover the module and it is not a novice procedure.

Being a 2023, it was built with most of the latest updates already. This truck has not received an OTA since it was built 6 months ago, but that is nothing out of the norm for a 2023. Many people (including myself) experience issues with AndroidAuto/Carplay connectivity. I recommend using a wired connection instead of wireless.

Your truck is fine and ready for the 6.x.x updates. The only issue preventing you from getting OTA's is the source of the updates itself, and that is Ford's OTA process.

Are you saying that 2023 suffer from additional Bluetooth issues over 2022? My 2022 is flawless. His drops BT quite often and he has to reconnect with his phone

Idk what causes it, but I can tell you many people complain about it on this and other forums. My 2021 that is fully updated has issues, too.
