How many issues or how severe would an issue have to be for them to take your truck back and give you a new one?
Check state lemon laws. I just had my 21 Lariat bought back. My post history explains why, but as far as your question goes, “the” issue doesn’t matter. The only thing that mattered (or did in NY state) is the number of attempts and days down. I bought my truck 1/19 and drove it maybe 3 weeks total. Been in the shop (and still is) for 45-50 days. Lemon law in NY is anything over 30 days in the shop.

Good luck fellas, I just got the vin on my 2021 Tremor build. Let’s hope these issues don’t follow me

After taking my two problems to ford service about my PB noise issue and rust on rear end parts and them telling me its all normal, I took pictures and made a recording of the noise. I opened a case with Ford customer care and also sent an email to the General manager of the dealership with the pictures and audio file attached and copied Ford Care rep on all. This was yesterday. This morning I got a call from the dealership service manager asking me when I can bring my truck back to have the rust removed and coated, along with assigning a Hybrid tech to my noise problem. Looks like documented issues with proof and notifying the correct people is working in my case so far.

Curious how many have taken a look underneath At the rear axels and shock mounts for the rust issue, read that in an article that it seems to be a problem. Like no seal coat or rust prevention was applied.
I for one will not be accepting the rust and corrosion and make them replace the parts or replace the truck with one that looks new not a 25 year old junk yard POS.

If Lexus tried selling cars with that rust even the sales staff's heads would explode. It's like alternate universe over at that dealership................and the fully loaded ones are less $ than the truck.

Dealer fixing:
1. Warning light stating oil is low every time vehicle is starting
2. Passenger seat messaging function only functions about 50% of the time.

Went into the dealer today to address these issues. Hope it does not have to stay long.

So I went out this morning and when I tried to start the truck I got all kinds of warning lights....then everything just went dead and it started making loud popping noises from the speakers. That lasted about 20 mins and now it is just DEAD, no lights no noises nothing!! I bought the truck on 3/2/21 and this already??

I didn’t know this thread existed so I created my own ...oops.

to rehash my issue:

1. rust on rear axle ( going to clean myself) I know Ford should do it on principle but I feel like I’ll do a better job, take my time and do it right.

2. on my 200 mile drive home hit the max AC button and check engine light came on and no cold air. It turns out they punctured the lines when building the truck. It’s covered under warranty but the parts are backordered. So I’m driving around on a truck with a check engine light and no AC.

Of course with this being my first Ford my friends and family have all the jokes lined up.

Of course with this being my first Ford my friends and family have all the jokes lined up.
I bought a new Ranger in 05 after an eternity of predominately Chevrolet pickups.
The only reason I bought one is because both GM and Dodge small trucks looked like they were already beat up and the Ranger had smoother not so MACHO lines.
Took a lot of crap for that, but that little wanna-be truck was absolutely flawless for 15 yrs and 130k. V6 5spd ext cab.
I am still extremely fond of my 98 k1500 as it has also been pretty much trouble free for over 200k
But, I have already been the victim of harangue over the new f150.
I had to order one, I wanted an extended cab and 8 ft box—not even an option for the GM or Dodge anymore in a 1/2 ton.

Anybody here have freaky things going on with the electric parking brake?
A couple of times it has activated after coming to a dead stop, in park after shutting the truck off.
Yesterday, while at work, I went out to the truck and upon unlocking, the dash lit up with a parking brake error, and it had been activated again. Had a warning to get serviced soon.
Not really a big deal, and definitely not on par with most of the electrical bugs I’m reading about, but weird.
This error has not shown up on the FordPass either.

To be fair, I am a guy that has driven sticks for over 40yrs and have been in the habit of shutting the truck off before it is completely stopped, so I’m not sure if it’s me or a poltergeist in the truck

So far my Powerboost has been solid. A few minor things:
1 - BCM module needs to be updated to address the alarm issue
2 - Rust issue. Mine isn't that bad, but I'm most concerned about the rust on the exhaust
3 - The dealer needs to replace a speaker cover that was dented and give me a trailer sensor I never received

1-Reverse Brake Assist Not Available
2-4 out of the 5 cameras are bad..(app made for 4/20 when they are supposed to get the cameras). which is weird because I thought the cameras worked in conjunction with land keep assist but that works fine.

Limited 3.5L PowerBoost. Vehicle delivered 3/4/21, current ODO is 290 miles.
  1. TCU (modem) has gone dead twice, but came back to life randomly.
  2. Dash is constantly rebooting after applying TSB 21-2097 flash update to fix the battery drain issue. Time will tell if battery drain issue is resolved, but the constantly rebooting dash is a PITA as all "My View" and gauge configurations settings revert to factory defaults. Also get multiple alerts in FordPass app every time dash reboots.
  3. "Reverse Brake Assist Not Available See Manual" error message when I put vehicle in reverse. This started happening after the TSB 21-2097 flash update.
  4. Upon starting vehicle after unlocking and driving off, passenger side mirror remained in folded close position. Caught me by surprise when I went to change lanes and checked my mirror! Was able to unfold it via the driver door armrest switch. Has only happened once.
  5. FordPass states "Unable to Locate" message. When I first got the truck FordPass was able to consistently located vehicles. May be related to flakey TCU (see #1).

1. Drivers seat will be fully reclined on me, this has happened maybe 3 times in 1,200 miles.
2. The “my view” settings have reset themselves twice now.
3. Every so often the left then signal will stay on, even after turning left.
4.Sometimes I turn the truck on and the radio is on the truck settings page and not the xm or previous station I had on, or xm channel 2 ( which I have never listened to) will be playing.

all easy fixes that that be adressed at my first oil change.

I am VERY happy with my truck and I hope it will treat me well

I took care of the rust issue, painted the axle and pumpkin and fluid filmed the undercarriage.

I have noticed a noise from the transmission in gears 4-7, it happens just before it shifts...sounds like a humming noise. I assume it’s normal. Not sure if anyone here has heard it

Well, you asked for it:

Dealer fixed: 0 Important to note, not their fault, dealer techs were unable to find resolutions with Ford and the engineers after two service appointments.

1: XM Hardware Fault
2: Vision system camera fault
3: Private Comm network fault
4: Left/Right mirror heater output fault
5: Battery voltage fault
6: "Reverse Brake Assist Not Available" error message
7: Recirculation on climate control randomly shuts off after a few minutes
8: Air flow through dash vents poor to non-existent if deftrost and/or floor is also selected
9: Body panel fitment poor at: tailgate, hood
10: Rear bumper offset from rear quarter panels
11: Engine has started to make excessive noise (growl/gravely) intermittently; performance is reduced when this occurs
12: Lane departure system has failed randomly
13: Center screen gets very hot, up to 123 degrees when I measured it with a thermal-imaging camera
14: Digital speedometer and dial gauge speedo are off 2 MPH from one another
15: Center screen icons (icons only, not the text) all went black today....

I have a case filed with Ford and one of their support specialists is supposed to be getting ahold of me this week (after a week delay).
Sure sounds like grounds for invoking the lemon-law. Good luck.
