Stick with what you had. You need to drive IWEs which are no longer present in 22/23 TODs and expect the front axle to have no disconnect means (as in always spinning).I totally understand. Saleen961 and hammaman give me lots of info last night. Which was super helpful. Maybe I’ll just let my order ride and get the one I’ve already ordered. Based on their info it should work. Worst case scenario I can always get the part number you specified if for some reason this one has issues. And thank you again for the help yesterday I really appreciate it. As you see we finally found the sweet spot to get old out and new in but it really kicked our asses lol!
In 4h you may be able to hear / feel it with the window down in a tight turn.Well just got home tonight and had my new correct (hopefully) TCCM. Put it in and have not done the forscan changes yet but when going into slippery or sport it shifts into 4A. So that’s good. We don’t have snow here (yet) lol. But got some dirt roads around the corner so tomorrow I’ll get on one of those and make sure that it’s controlling the IWE’s etc. and that the front wheels are hooking up.
My 302A has the screen and I can watch the power get distributed equally to all four wheels like God intended ?You should be able to feel 4A weight the steering a bit. You might even feeeeel some NVH from the front drivetrain in your hands.
Of course if you pull up the power distribution screen, you can witness it showing torque being sent to the front axles. (I don't know if that screen is available on all trucks)
Same here. I can see power flowing but I don’t think it’s making it to the wheels. I can definitely say this is not as “easy” a job as some have stated. Did you run a PMI on the TCCM with FDRS using the VIN that the parts were ordered for?Well once again thanks to Jesse. He is such a magician with this stuff. He was able to get my new tccm programmed. That’s the good news. The bad news is I really don’t think my iwe’s are activating. I went out on some dirt roads and played with it but it just does not seem like I have 4wd. I told Jesse that maybe I’ll put the whole truck up on my jack stands to see if all the wheels turn. Unless anybody has thoughts on testing this another way.
Jesse remoted into my laptop and did all the programming thru forscan and FDRS. All seems to working as designed. No codes at all. Just does not feel like the fronts are hooking up. When I installed my Hi-Lock, 4A seemed to work without doing anything but plugging everything in, 4H did not work properly until the PMI was run. If I remember correctly the t-case clutch duty cycle increased in 4A and 4H after the PMI. Running the PMI also allowed the mechanical lock to engage, it did not engage at all before the PMI.
You cant PMI a module not for the vin. If he attempted to PMI the TCCM to his vin it would fail the Part number verification and even by some Grace of the programming gods it did get through it woul dthen load his calibration and strategy which is wrong for the application he is attempting to installDid you run a PMI on the TCCM with FDRS using the VIN that the parts were ordered for?

If you accelerate hard in 4A, it should feel noticeably different than 2H even if there is no wheel spin. Do you feel any difference between 2H and 4A if you turn the steering wheel to full lock and try to drive forward on dry pavement. Before running the PMI, 2H and 4H felt the same at full lock, now it is very obvious that I'm in 4H, but I do have mechanical locking 4H on my truck.Jesse remoted into my laptop and did all the programming thru forscan and FDRS.
