Entering Maintenance info into FordPass. Why has that feature been removed ?

That is crazy. I do have more icons than you on the other screen you posted but nothing crazy. Collision assistance, customer satisfaction program (tailgate fix), vehicle health report. That stuff might just be in US not sure.

My service record screen looks different than that it shows more detail with costs and current and prior owner records.

UPDATE: Spoke to an operator today, at 1-855-542-7821 (FordPass). The Self -performed maintenance feature has been REMOVED from FordPass in July, for Canadian consumers only as a result of the silly legislation our government has enacted. I was told that dealer-performed services will still be posted and available to view on FordPass, but, I will no longer be able to put my own records in as I was before. Kinda pissed about this development. This was a very appealing feature of FordPass that has been stripped out. Reminds me of the features stripped out from vehicles from the microchip supply issues since the epidemic..... Not really Ford's fault. Would have been nice to get an email or a message in FordPass stating this vs screwing around with 3 phone calls to a call center to find out. Just wanted to keep everyone updated...

Hi all,
I have been entering my self-performed oil changes and maintenance notes into FordPass for the last year or so. Suddenly in July sometime, I was unable to enter my newest entry, I could not even see the icon in the Android App or in the PC webpage to allow it. My other maintenance notes from June 2023 and older are visible but not editable and I cannot enter anything. This is in the tab "service" then "service history".
Anyone have any insights on this or similar findings ?
Canadian as well with the same issue. I found if you log on to ford.com (not ford.ca) you can enter your maintenance under service history tab and it will show on the ford pass app

On my iPhone, I tried to do an Add Service but the Save Record button was hidden behind the keyboard. I can pull the screen upwards to see the button above the keyboard, but actually using the Save Record button was impossible.

Entered data in mine about 3 weeks ago. I would be pretty annoyed in they removed the feature. I want to be able to do my own oil changes, tires rotations, etc., without having to worry about any warranty work down the road.
Owner entries still have to be backed up with PROOF the actual work/maintenance was actually done. Receipts, please! LOL

I am not taking any chances with this truck. All work orders are entered into a software package for tracking vehicle costs. The work order is scanned and the file is saved on two different hard drives. The paper copy is filed in a binder.

I know, I know - over kill. But I don't want to have any issues getting warranty work done with the cost of parts and labor.

P.S. - The wife calls it a MAN THING :ROFLMAO::LOL::ROFLMAO:

The feature supports images, including digital copy of the receipts.
The US version has a few more features that the CDN doesn't have. Even the pages seem different. I wonder if there is a way to side load the different software.

@Kanuck Not sure if your able to access this or not, you can download and side load from the link below. I would first log out of Fordpass, then clear the cache and data, then uninstall Fordpass and then reinstall. If I remember correctly on initial login to Fordpass it asks you to choose your country, maybe pick US instead of Canada? Not sure what the result of that would be but maybe its just a MPH / KPH thing. :unsure:

Not VIN based, Canadian import here and I can add records. Possibly uses GPS location since it requests that every time I open it.

The real test will be if they can add records and have them show up in app and Ford Canadian website.

The records the dealer puts into the Ford system do not explain what the service was. I just had the Parking Brake recall done and Ford Pass shows only this. Sure doesn't tell much. All the other listing are just as usless.

From what I understand, the dealership has a drop down list of categories to choose from and it is reflected in the FordPass service app based on that choice.

"Unknown" would indicate that the date entry person just didn't bother choosing an appropriate category.

However, it is also well known to some of us who have purchased Ford extended warranties, that drop down list does not include the appropriate choice for the ESP warranty purchase. So it gets listed as Air Conditioner repair, based on it being the first choice alphabetically.

Ford just doesn't have the software prowess necessary, it seems.
