Been gone for about 2 years and then my 2021 Powerboost got totaled. I am in the ordering pool again and placed an order 8/11, originally got scheduled to week of 9/11 and now am pushed back to week of 9/25.
Just looking to see what everyone’s experience has been lately with ordering delays, constraints, etc. I’m really hoping that I’m not waiting 9 months like I did for my 2021!

ordered 2023 XLT 302a, sport package, max tow, 360 camera, moonroof in avalanche.
Any insight is much appreciated.

Orders as far as I’ve seen have been quite quick for months now (relative to what they used to be.) I’ve seen the average is roughly around 3 months from order to delivery. Many have gotten trucks In 2 months.

Now obviously if the strike ordeal actually happens I don’t expect getting my order for a long time.

I saw a report the other day that Ford is shutting down f series production next week due to parts shortages… I think it due to inventory increases …

Do you have a link? I’ve only seen a story talking about the KC plant going to one shift instead of three for next week due to some part shortages…nothing about shutting down production.

Same here, I hadn’t seen any full shutdown articles yet. Since I’m getting a Powerboost I will be Dearborn only, haven’t seen any reduction in shifts for there yet.

Order date: August 9, 2023
Estimated build date: October 2, 2023

Ordered a Tremor 402A with 5.0. Fingers crossed it goes through.

Certainly have been watching the UAW strike stuff and the news coming out about that. If there is an article about a F series shutdown, I would be interested to read as well.

Just found this link

Ford plant to cut back on F-150 pickup production due to parts shortage

Ford Motor Co. will cut production of the Ford F-150 next week as well as the week of Sept. 4 due to a parts shortage, the Detroit Free Press learned Friday.

Only the Kansas City Assembly Plant, not the Dearborn Truck Plant, will be affected, Ford spokeswoman Jessica Enoch told the Free Press. "The plant will run with one crew the week of Aug. 28 and two crews the week of Sept. 4 due to a supplier parts shortage.”

The plant usually runs with three crews.

Ford declined to say which parts were unavailable. A worker at the Kansas City plant flagged the Free Press, asking why shifts were being cut, because the company didn't provide factory workers an explanation.

I'd guess Dearborn can absorb capacity for all customer orders while KCAP is down, except for long bed trucks. DTP cannot build long beds.

Given a new PB for 24, I'd wait a couple weeks to hear about the truck considering 24 order books aren't far out.

Yep, if I was intending on ordering a Powerboost, I'd be on a self-hold to see wazzup with the rumored Hybrid F150 news

Our’s is a Heritage, Avalanche, 2wd, 2.7, & sunroof. Order confirmation, 7/28/2023. It was originally for build, 9/4/2023. It has since slipped to 9/11/2023. Hopefully it doesn’t slip again. We are wanting a 2023. I don’t like the pictures I’ve seen of the 2024 grills.

Might not matter much with the talk coming from the UAW right now. Just posted their update on talks and sounds like a strike is definitely imminent. 24 order bank might open, but a walkout in a couple weeks might push all these 23’s to 24’s automatically.
Anyone know if you get bumped to a new year if you get the option to choose any new features?
