Picture is the rubber trim piece on the passenger side, rear roof corner above the rear glass, and the second picture is the hood cowl in front of the passenger side A-pillar. Both are not sitting flush, I’ve never taken it apart, and both pieces appears to be lifting more over time? Could just be in my head though. Seems like for a $65k truck I shouldn’t have misaligned or tweaked trim pieces.

I fix software bugs!
I looked at mine just now and they are flush to the body contour. If mine did that, I would take it in.

You reminded me that the passenger side windshield wiper snags on the antennae when you pull it away from the windshield

The rubber/plastic molding by my antenna pops up as well on the fender side...it drives me nuts but I haven't taken it apart to see if can be adjusted.

lol mine does that too, so I guess that’s just the design? Definitely annoying when I wash the truck, have to carefully bend the wiper around the antenna.

The cowl piece is a rubbery material that can easily be pushed back into place. I would definitely have a dealership look at the roof piece though.

Had both of these issues on my truck. The front cowl I had replaced under warranty. The roof strip I did not,.. 1. They have to remove the rear window to replace it. 2. I noticed its not the strip, but the actual cab metal is high in that area, and you'd actually have to have a lot of body work done to fix it... I have yet to glue the front of it down to the metal, just so it doesn't stick up, but seemed like too much body work, repaint, for not really any gain.

hmm, maybe a dab of silicone/rtv and leaving something heavy overnight would be enough, it’s not really an issue, just looks funny and it catches whenever I wash the truck. Not really noticeable at all unless you’re up there.

Strange that it requires so much to replace..

Same. Same. Want to get it looked at because I had a roof leak on my old truck. They’ll probably say the stubby antenna is cause the cowl though…

Get it fixed under warranty. That's what warranties are for.

Yes.

The price of the truck is irrelevant, though. Ford (and other manufacturers) do not do better QA based on the price of the vehicle, and NO price level would excuse a chunk of trim coming loose so soon. Make the manufacturer fix such issues no matter what the vehicle costs, it’s how they discover they have defects, after all.

The guy that everyone b*&%ches to at work...
My cowl has the same (antenna) issue and has since I purchased it. Eventually I’ll get it into a dealer to look at it.
