Yes, i will ask that specific question!Any chance you can ask the "Ford Tech of many years" to provide us with one (1) example of a "warranty voided" that was associated with FORScan?
yep he is an awesome guyif I were Ford, I would be rolling up the Brinks truck to do whatever it takes to hire @Jesse-Infotainment but their loss is our gain (and I can say that from experience!)
The only Forscan mod I can think of that would void a warranty would be turning the DRL LEDs up from the factory setting and they burn out early. Another possible warranty issue would be someone completely messing up a module and not having a backup doing mods incorrectly and taking it to the dealership to be fixed. Everything else is not likely to cause any issues with the vehicle or cause a need for repair.Any chance you can ask the "Ford Tech of many years" to provide us with one (1) example of a "warranty voided" that was associated with FORScan?
Thank you for saving me 10 minutes of typing this information ... yet again. I get SO @#$% tired of the "Does X void my warranty?" questions. The federal Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act (MMWA) prohibits a manufacturer from 'voiding a warranty' because of 'unauthorized' mods or installation of 'unauthorized' parts. Whether or not a manufacturer or dealer detects those things has no bearing.
MMWA does allow a manufacturer to decline warranty coverage, but only to the extent that an otherwise eligible part failed due to the 'unauthorized' mod. Even IF that occurs, all other warranty coverage remains intact for parts not affected by the mod.
