This is the sorta thing that dealers don't like to explain. It always works like this and your often better to buy it from one of the Ford ESP sellers in your last couple months of your normal warranty. I bought my 22' used with 40k miles and bought a 100k 72 month esp for 1500$ that will cover it until 2028. Which is all I needed to cover the life of the loan.
