It's almost like there might be a happy medium between 6 and 10...Lol I appreciate a transmission that isn't constantly shifting personally, but the 10sp is so much better than the 6s were.
I liked how the HD came with a hotter engine typically, but what that really means is we need the lightning back. I typically hate single cab short beds and hate trucks that are trying to be muscle cars even more, but the lightning was a well thought-out exception.
A truck I’ve always wanted but never could get around to buying one… always wished they had a Manual option thoOne of my trucks I miss the most is my '03 lightning. Only problem was how expensive the frigging tires were for the time.

I learned how to drive in a Tempo and a '78 LeSabre coupe.Hey. We had a Tempo. I was a good little car. Got great gas mileage and the only persistent problem we had, was after a few yrs. keeping an air conditioner charge to hold.
Had it "fixed" a couple of times but it never lasted much into the next yr.
It was on the underpowered side but if I told you the best gas mileage we got with it, you wouldn't believe me.
That is one thing I love about the STX, you can option the center console and it retains the column shifter. Coming from a console shift expedition I much prefer the extra console space with the shifter up on the column. It was a $300 option on the XL per my window sticker, it does require the STX Appearance package though according to the build site, so I guess no center console option for non-STX XL trucks.Column shifter for all trims please! The console shifter is a huge waste of space.
FWIW, I heard Dodge will be coming out with a Bud Light truck....2. Please bring back the Ford & Harley Davidson partnership.
I'd like that in my single cab but buying the parts a la carte would probably scare me away from that idea. And the junk yards seem to prefer the insurance pricing scale to the broke guy doing it himself pricing. That is one thing I love about the STX, you can option the center console and it retains the column shifter. I don’t think it would fit. The console has vents and charging ports for the backseat and sticks past the seats by like 2 inches on my SuperCab.I'd like that in my single cab but buying the parts a la carte would probably scare me away from that idea.
