Hmm, Mine shows meta data from XM.

Which audio system do you have? I just have the basic 7 speaker. I saw others mentioned earlier in the thread they had the issue. 12 in screen is fine just the instrument screen doesn’t show what’s playing.

I want to say that there was a value in the IPC that was for XM Data. Can't remember what it was though. Check the spreadsheet, you may be able to find it.

I just made 6 changes to my GWM using another truck's as-built data. I can confirm that I got the NAV working. I can now do a search on screen or by telling the Ford lady to "Find Address". Thanks you guys for pressuring me into this. BTW, I made a backup of all of my modules before making any changes.

Also, after making the gateway changes, My Screen now shows data from SiriusXM. I guess the Gateway Module is what it says it is, a gateway that controls communication between the modules.

I also made one change in the IPC module to get the "Navigation" menu item to show up in my instrument cluster. that was at 720-05-01

DM me if anyone wants the GWM, APIM, IPC, and ACM changes I made.

I agree. If I didn't have the technical knowledge from working on Internet gateway components, I would not have attempted any of this.

Yes, the My View in the instrument cluster. It now reads "SiriusXM - <channel name>" it didn't do this before i made the GWM changes. It read "Audio Off" or whatever the last AM/FM channel I was on. Scroll back a few pages where we discuss this in more detail.

I have the B&O 8 speaker system. There is a setting in the ACM you have to make so the volume control shows the correct volume setting. If you select the non-B&O code your volume control will stay at zero. Communication with the IPC (Instrument Cluster) is unrelated to this. Modifications to the GWM caused this to start working.

I have the B&O 8 speaker system. There is a setting in the ACM you have to make so the volume control shows the correct volume setting. Can you provide the change to the GWM you made for this? Volume is fine just not the instrument panel.

I made changes to six (6) of the registers. I'm not sure which one caused it to start working. Getting the Nav to work was my primary goal. After I made those changes the My View / Now Playing started showing SiriusXM data. go figure.

We did discuss the Xm info displaying on the instrument panel earlier.

Being that it is hard to know what should be when you did not have XM to start with.

So if I am understanding this ,a change in the GWM makes this happen?

Not too important for me but it would be niceto have as an option.

I agree....I checked Livnitup's spreadsheet but no GWM listed on the codes.

My truck has a 0 here on the ENSS Sirius but my donor VIN has a 1 which enables the ENSS Sirius. Anyone know what ENSS stands for?

My VIN:720-05-01 0800
Donor VIN: 720-05-01 1810

The 3rd "1" is for NAV so it makes sense I'd leave this at 0.

The third digit in the first hextet of the 720-05-01 pertains to the root menu on the instrument cluster. Changing this digit will affect what shows up in the root menu. According to the spreadsheet

My donor as-built for this register is
1810 0100 0056

0 = RMIC disabled • RMIE disabled • RMIE disabled • RMIN disabled 1 = RMIC disabled • RMIE disabled • RMIE disabled • RMIN enabled

RMIN = Root Menu Infotainment Navigation, which means the navigation menu item will appear in the root menu.

And I would bet that if you changed this to a 9 the Climate option would show up in the root menu.

9 = RMIC enabled • RMIE disabled • RMIE disabled • RMIN enabled

RMIC = Root Menu Infotainment Climate

Just a guess.
