Sorry to read about your truck problems. I'm curious to see how this works out for you as I have never had an out-of-town issue like that.

Update on my coolant leak issue. It was a coolant line for the transmission that was rubbing against the axle, causing a hole. My contact at the Ford dealership said the original part number is no longer available, probably because Ford realized there was an issue with that tube. AND, the replacement part number is on national back order with NO ETA. This is one thing when you're home, but I am from Michigan, on vacation in Florida!!! The dealership is providing me with a rental indefinitely, even said drive it home to Michigan if I need to. I asked him how do I get my truck home? He nervously chucked and said "this is the first time I've dealt with anything like this. We'll figure it out". Just praying the part comes in before I have to leave. I have to be back to work on April 5th. I thought I would contact Granger and see if Chip has any ideas. ?‍♀
This situation could have been SO much worse that it has been. I've been traveling through some pretty remote places, at lease I didn't breakdown there, especially a woman traveling alone. People have been very helpful, LOL, except for the Hertz place, that made me stand outside in 86° because I had my dog with me. On the bright side, thank GOD, I wasn't pulling my camper, and look at the miles I'm not putting on my truck. :rolleyes: Trying to makes some "lemonade" here.
I hope that you get everything fixed quick. What a nightmare but it sounds like the dealership is really taking care of you. Enjoy your vacation at least!

Well guys, I had my faith in Ford Corporate restored some today, Chip from Granger gave me a Customer Service number. I called, they took down all my information and assigned me a case number, yay - many of us have been down that road before. But, a few hours later my case manager called, said she has been in contact with the dealership in Jacksonville, and is working with them to expedite the repair. She also confirmed that I have the rental as long as it's needed, including driving back to Michigan. If the part isn't available before I head home, they will transport my F150 back to Michigan to have the repair completed at a local dealership of my choosing. Now I can relax and enjoy the rest of my trip!

GM is advertising that they are the number one in pickup sales now. Maybe Ford has taken notice and has decided to improve their customer relations.

Its good news that they are taking care of you.

Has everyone checked their Fordpass points? Mine would not go through until I contacted FordPass Rewards.

I do not know if it is related but my maps are out of date so Bluecruise hands-free does not work. I will see if the truck will update this weekend. Apparently this was a fairly common thing. There is a 13 page thread discussing it.

The 22 Tremor I ordered on 14 Jan 22 just showed at the dealer. LOL

Bonus- they can't sell it because of the wiper recall.

At least it has a heated steering wheel !!

I may go check out how rusty it is from sitting in Dearborn since 09 Aug.

The truck updated to 3.5.2 with maps. Hands-free is now working. I do not know if it is something that I will use often, but I have some ideas of when it will be handy.

First "fill-up" today. 20.8 mpg per trip computer and hand Calc.
I will be ecstatic if it stays above 19.

@SunnyD, I hope the rest of your vacay is going well.

Hey, @Blackout150, did you ever get any updates? At home I don't have the greatest cell signal, and with my detached garage I wasn't sure my wifi was stronger enough. My plan was to see how the updates went down here in Florida.....LOL, that didn't pan out. I have 5 bars of signal at the rental, and the wifi reaches to the parking pad. It would have been a good test.

Still haven’t received any updates. My truck keeps turning off the wifi when I’m home. Did the vin lookup on the forum and the only thing I don’t have is the full screen Apple play. Just waiting now to see if anything happens. Just checked again and wifi was turned off. Has anyone had this problem? Btw how’s the vacation going @SunnyD? Was suppose to take my trailer out for a long weekend to the beach but they called and canceled because we are getting so much rain here it was all flooded?. Still waiting to tow with this thing.
