Does anyone know what model years 1009,1010 apply to? I just got 1007, and am wondering if I'll get the shifting update for my 21 PB.
I think you will eventually get all 3 updates on your 2021. I've received 1009 a week ago, yesterday I received 1007. So 1010 should come eventually to me as well. 1010 I think is the pcm update, as I understand it, it doesn't change shift strategies. But it updates something with the internal electric pump for cold start condition.

I think PU1010 might do both.

Well finally! I never thought it would happen. I actually got an OTA update. I am convinced that there is an issue with getting an OTA while on 3.5.2 or before. Now, not necessarily everyone has this issue, but I believe that it is an issue. I went to my dealer on Tuesday of this week and forced them to update my truck. I had 3 failed attempts at 3.5.3 trying to OTA. It took them 4 hours, but I left with 3.5.3. Now just a few days later, 3.5.4 OTA. There is definitely a link. To those that are in my shoes, put your foot down with your dealer. Mine actually tried to scare me out of doing the updates once I got there for my appointment. Let's just say I had a nice chat with the shop manager after that. We party a lot of money for these trucks and the technology. We should expect, and deserve, nothing but prompt attention and things should work.
Yes, 3.5.3 & 3.5.3.2 has a very high fail rate. I have seen 3.5.4 fail very few times, though.

I noticed last night, while looking up a VIN for someone else, that surprisingly my 2022 has a couple of updates available.

BCM and HCM

For the first time since I've had FDRS (more than a year) I don't know if I even care to hook up and apply.
It's a KingRanch Powerboost and I have absolutely NOTHING to complain about.
Certainly not with those sweet Antiglare headlights!

What's happening to me?
Is my FDRS crack habit finally over?

Funny, after my visit to the dealer and no updates left, I now see those same updates for my vin in FDRS.

I bet if it was a PCM update, you'd be doing one-handed cartwheels with your latop in your free hand all the way to your truck. :ROFLMAO:

The BCM update in FDRS is recommended not to be applied. That update will revert the software to the faulty one that was frying out the quad headlights. For myself and you two that have the upgraded lights, it's a non-issue. Ford pushed out an OTA to fix that issue, but they still haven't pulled it from FDRS.

Interesting that both a BCM and HCM though. Are they both related, since they very well could be if it's headlight related.

And as you pointed out, we don't have the headlights that the whole previous fiasco was started.

The HCM update is news to me. When I updated my truck a few weekends ago, it wasn't there.

I have the IL fated headlights. and the 1009 BCM ota didn't have a problem.

That OTA is the one that fixes what could cause an issue. Once you get that update, a BCM update appears in FDRS. If you apply the one in FDRS, it takes you back to the version that 1009 replaced.

I can guarantee that it just POPPED up unexpectedly. I don't think it's even been mentioned yet, has it?

Lol so it's a catch 22 ? If I understand correctly, I shouldn't apply the FDRS update? Or does the FDRS update now apply the newest software without creating the headlight issue because of the 1009 ota? I'm Confused ? ?
