$550 for the Mongoose cable and $50 for a 2 day license to FDRSIsn’t FDRS like $1k?
Gotcha. Still $600 seems a little steep to just get a feature a little early. Maybe I'm cheap though, haha.$550 for the Mongoose cable and $50 for a 2 day license to FDRS
I'm with you. Although, now that coolwalk is starting to toll out with AA, it's more tempting.Gotcha. Still $600 seems a little steep to just get a feature a little early. Maybe I'm cheap though, haha.
Yea a lot of the guys that were initially doing it were trying to get their blue cruise working because Ford dealers could not.Gotcha. Still $600 seems a little steep to just get a feature a little early. Maybe I'm cheap though, haha.
Man, always so glad that was the one feature I skipped.Yea a lot of the guys that were initially doing it were trying to get their blue cruise working because Ford dealers could not.
I don't have blue cruise and I still purchased the Mongoose cable to update both my F-150 and my Explorer. It was more because I'm a car nerd than for any real necessity lolMan, always so glad that was the one feature I skipped.
Oh I get it, I've played around endlessly with Forscan, and I probably would have paid $500 for that if it was what it cost, fortunately that cable was only $50. But that made large improvements to my experience of driving the truck.I don't have blue cruise and I still purchased the Mongoose cable to update both my F-150 and my Explorer. Haha I would just say go for it; don’t think we’d be even seeing that 3.5.3+ OTA update any time soon loli’m extremely considering that route but at the time same time it would be so gratifying if i wait for the update to drop via OTA Lol.
I got my truck off the lot, so it had it, wasn't a choice, but I am stoked it has it. It's so cool, and I've been fortunate, mine has worked flawlessly ever sice about 2 weeks after I bought the truck, I got the map update, and I've been golden ever since.Man, always so glad that was the one feature I skipped.
I custom ordered mine so it wasn't worth the $2k(?) extra plus the subscription down the road. BTW your Tremor is a 402A not a 502A ??I got my truck off the lot, so it had it, wasn't a choice, but I am stoked it has it. Haha, thanks, just a typo, I had it right in my signature.I custom ordered mine so it wasn't worth the $2k(?) extra plus the subscription down the road. BTW your Tremor is a 402A not a 502A ??

I wrote a check for my truck so I'm no stranger to spending money ?The Mongoose and FDRS license are worth every penny to me just to never experience the frustration of dealing with a service writer or any dealership treating me with apathy at best, insulting at worst.
And it's not just a Sync feature that I am wanting a self service approach. There is continuous development going on and I want access to the latest shifting strategy, battery management strategy, fueling strategy, EV strategy,............
Just the PCM updates over the first 2 years of Gen14 ownership have resulted in a much more polished version of the Powerboost drivability.
This forum has had a huge influence on the changes in ownership experience for me. It's been liberating. $600?
That wouldn't buy a bent wheel and tire replacement on this truck.![]()
