I have seen a lot of vins. There are many that have had great success. I can tell you there are equally as many that haven’t. I think it relates to the battery issues.

They installed different batteries in different trims. Trying to save Pennie’s for some reason rather than just installing the biggest in all trucks.

There also was a batch of batteries that had issues with their ability to hold up to the demands of the OTA and most failed due to that. So had ford had good batteries from the beginning we probably would have seen much better success. Ford still refuses to replace batteries they know are bad
As they say, The truth is stranger than fiction. :)

I bet you are absolutely correct and that some percentage, and likely a significant percentage, of OTA failures will be for exactly what you suspect. What a difference a half a volt makes with this stuff!

11.9v is WAY different than 12.4

You have several updates available. The issue is the dealers have no requirement to do any updates.

You don’t have blue cruise. Even if you did the 21G01 has expired so there is no longer anything to press a dealer to make them.

Your options are to wait for OTAs. They are getting better. Or update manually yourself. Requires a $600 investment.

Hi Jesse,

I have first job 2021 Lariat with FORD CO-PILOT 360 ASSIST 2.0, but no Blue Cruise officially ( or eye sensors) but when I put it into adaptive cruise control the truck still turns the curves of the road on the interstate when my hands are off the wheel. What's up with that?

Also, Gator Ford in Tampa told me this week but my truck is updating properly over the air and there's no pending updates, when I was getting my wiper recall checked.

Thank you for all your help!

Oh thats good.. We all know how great dealers are and how much they know about these trucks. I mean they would never tell you that there are no updates for your truck when there are maybe.. 11 or more. Why does anyone listen to them? Genuinely curious.

If you don’t mind, can you check on my truck and see where I sit on updates? I just purchased it a few weeks ago. It is my first Ford and I am still trying to figure all this stuff out so I am not even sure what I should have or what will be available on mine. I received one OTA update for the 22S17 Recall on October 1.

Any help is appreciated.

You bought a JOb1. You are getting some OTAs. You are still far behind though. You did get the first of two IPC(Cluster) updates. That s good. You are still waiting on IPMA package that will update 4 modules. After you get the second IPC and the IPMA package you should have BlueCruise.

I would wait it out at this point. Your OTA history looks pretty good. If it stops then youll have to decide what to do. If youre close to Dallas I could get it all updated for you.

On this topic- I have NEVER been able to get ANY OTA and the dealer cannot get any programming to take. I've had in in 2x. Yes, they are sure the voltage is staying in limits. Yes, they have used a brand new USB stick. The last try was 3 days at the dealer and a regional Ford tech told the dealer I needed a new APIM. That has been on order 2 months+ and no ETA in sight. I see some miraculous help on here so here's my VIN--
1FTFW1EDXMFB61971
I do also have a CASE # I opened today- CAS-39196723-D1W3G7.
I can't get the in-vehicle settings to take for updates. Nothing stores for days/times/etc. So, I'm still on the same version as when I received it 1 year ago! It's a '21 Powerboost Limited, FYI.

@Jesse-Infotainment Seems like you are the man of the hour!! And IF it makes sense, I'm happy to get the Mongoose and pay for your services.

They got a voltage warning and freaked out on June 14th, 15th & 16th, happened a couple of times each day. They didn't even let it try to install, just clicked Exit Software Update.

When you had it back in August it looks like more of the same shit.

If you ever get down to Houston I'll get you updated. Jesse is in Dallas and would do the same thing.

Sounds like a great reason for a field trip!! Thanks. I like the idea of coming in and doing a marathon get it fixed kinda thing, IF that will in fact break the log jam.

@Jesse-Infotainment would you be able to look up ny vin 1FTFW1E89MFA36897
I've been stuck on 2.7.3 forever
You're not on the dreaded Sync 20310, and you had 2.7.3 sent to you on 9/20, although it never got to download the files and the OTA campaign expired the next day. The error message provided is "ecuId":"1824" which I have seen several times checking people's trucks, but I have no idea what that means. You aren't stuck; you just need for Ford to push the update to you again.

Hello Everyone!

Sorry for the thread bump but this seems like the right place for this question instead of making a new topic.

Ordered Jan 2021 and delivered June 2021. When tracking this there weren't any extended delays
during production, once it started, and it rolled off the assembly line to shipping without any gaps.
Still no Blue Cruise option is showing up on my side or in my account. Always says 'Coming Soon' or whatever.

Due to life events I wasn't able to get my truck in for the 'complimentary' software update period which ended in October. When I asked to see if they could do it outside of the 'complimentary' service it would be however many hours at whatever crazy rate.

I'm trying to figure out what my next steps should be, and it looks like there are some experts here which can dig in to my update history. It would be good to know if I just need to keep sitting tight, or if there's something busted and I need to raise the issue with Ford.

Thanks!

I see you got 2.7.3 earlier this month. While you are behind on updates, you are getting them so that is a good thing. You just have to be patient and wait for more to be sent to you. There is nothing you can do to speed up OTA's being sent to your truck.

I was one that was stuck as well. I had ZERO updates in 12 months. I bit the bullet and got the Mongoose cable and software license. It took about 30 total hours in my shop, but I got it 100% up to date and Bluecruise active with a bit of help and handholding from Jesse . With this version (pic) I have BC, active bed camera, full screen Carplay and shifting seems smoother.

Yeah, I think I saw a thread around here which goes over that process.
Was it actually 30 hours actively poking this thing to get it going, or the start/wait/check timeline for this took that long?
I'm not afraid to muck around with my cars so I may go down this route.
Do you have a thread I can look at?
