Yeah but I have d plan through my brother so I would lose a lot of money if I go elsewhere. Plus all of the price increases

Hi i hit a moose back in June needed a new hood and grille got my auto body guy to paint the bumpers and install a stx grille the insurance paid for the grille. And had him paint the Ford same color as the grille.

Yeah I saw this about a month ago and was like that’s what I want. Of course missed the first sets that were sold. Can’t wait for the next release

Today I swapped the grill in my Black Appearance Platiumum with a STX grill. I personally think it looks much better. I was kind of disappointed with the grill in the BAP package and this is what I was hoping the truck would look like. Some before and after.

are the bottom pictures the stx grille? Do you have a part number?

I guess I am one of the few who has never liked the STX grille. I like the Limited grille best. But....at least it's different. You did a good job on the swap.

I was just thinking about if the STX grille would work with my BAP Tremor hood but figured it wouldn't. Thanks for this! Assuming the BAP Ford grille emblem is able to pop off and onto the STX?

Yes. Emblem swaps and the grill has the mounting for the camper as well.

Still contemplating this but my truck being white, I'm not certain I'd like the grille painted traditional colour with black honeycomb.

Wonder how it would like with the entire grille being gloss black...

I've got the gloss black lariat style grille and the ford OEM black badges. My truck is mostly going to be black on black / black when done, but I'm keeping the black badges brushed nickel look. I've got a vinyl cutter and I'm going to use 'removable' vinyl to cut strips for the center bars on the grille. It's more of a darker silver than brushed nickel for the test look. If I had black on white like yours, I'd consider making the brushed nickel portion of the ford logo white, and adding a white stripe on the center beam in the grille. Because of the headlights --- you can't go full blackout on the front, but you can try and blend it together w/ the headlights which have chrome in them.

I decided to go with the STX grille after all. Its in my garage painted gloss black, just waiting on a decent warm day to swap.

What are you all paying for your grilles? I am thinking of doing this for my XLT, but not really wanting to pay $750 + have to pay someone to color match the surround...
