Small update to the TCU, about 150MB. No Wi-Fi required.

It says the last recorded sync version is v4.0.22228 with a date of 10/13 which is when you got 3.5.3. However, looking down on the Sync tab, it shows files that were sent 10/19 that are referring to a Sync v4.0.20335.

Well, updates are rolling, so good news for all, I guess!

While I have never seen an update other than 2.8.1 fail due to the low battery issue, I was recently made aware by someone much more knowledgeable than me that poor battery conditions can affect any OTA be it big or small.
Guess I’ll keep auto update off and turn on when 4.5.3 is available and I’m on a long drive.

It won't make a difference. Auto-updates being off will only prevent an OTA from installing if it requires the vehicle to be inhibited, and this update does not. If you get it, it will install either way.

Having the dual phones connected at once is nice. Didn't think me and the wife would like it but we do.

Wouldn’t 20355 sync version be a backwards move?

Can't say. Not my area of expertise. If I remember correctly, it is only an APIM update that would trigger a sync version change, but I did see some mention of files that installed today and there is a reference to that Sync version on there. That could mean absolutely nothing. Like I said: It says your truck is on 22228 since 10/13. I wouldn't stress it. Sorry to hear about the issue you're having with your truck.

I know many over here may not care, but I just received 3.5.3 in my Lightning. I think I may be one of the first to get it, I am part of the Early Access.

I note for those tracking as now all F-150's have 3.5.3 as the latest OTA SW version I believe. I don't follow any of the Mach-E forums, I know others on here do.

The lightnings could already resize CarPlay I believe, had the Unreal engine and we had Alexa from the factory, so this should truly be a level up across all trucks.

PAAK - Phone as a Key only started appearing on Lightnings built in late July, earlier builds don't have it yet, but it is due via SW. I don't recall if ICE has that feature or not, but that is what we would be expecting next.

I've been trying to confirm what version my truck came with. I took delivery Monday, and the Sync4 version is 22228. When I check the PTS dashboard, I don't see any pending updates. I'm guessing part of PDI is to update to the latest OTAs before delivery.

I seriously doubt a PDI would see FDRS.
I could be wrong.

Could you go in to a little bit more detail on what the dual phones feature does? I see on the new update you can pick phones easier now.

I haven't had my girlfriend in the truck yet since the update so I wasn't too sure if it something I need to set up differently.

Sorry if this has already been discussed...THANKS

Basically both phone connect to BT at the same time. So either phone can get a call routed through the truck

My mach e updated 353 ~2 weeks ago. PAAK works great.

Not sure why they don't put it on the other sync 4 vehicles as well (PAAK). I'm sure we'll see it quietly slip in at some point.

Just updated to 3.5.4 through FDRS, was on 2.8.1 before I manually updated the truck. Dual phone is enabled through the phone list by pressing the phone button next to two different phones. If CarPlay is enabled dual phone does not work from what I can tell.

If someone knows, is Alexa not instantly activated when updating to 3.5.3+ when using FDRS? I don’t see an option for it.
