I went through Frontier Airlines one way for 83.00
That is half of what I paid. I'm at $143.00. I'm bringing a carry-on so I can being temporary paint protection and clothes since I will not be driving straight through.

Me too I have a small gym bag I will be carrying on. I checked ticket prices for weeks when my truck shipped and that was the best I could find. I normally fly SWA

That is funny, I was also checking ticket prices for weeks when mine shipped. Frontier was higher with a carry-on. Everyone else was double SW.

Yes frontier charges you for a carry on but a personal item is free and I believe they charge you 65.00 for that carry on

Just make sure your temporary paint protection is not considered a hazmat. They may not accept it even if it’s in checked bag.

Great point. I purchased film called Track Armour. I read in a thread here someone who purchased from Granger used this to drive their truck back home.

I can feel the wind in my hair already. I didn't expect this to go so fast, need to get my life together now. Very happy

you say your driving there and back
Yes, originally I planned on a trade in deal but that went a different route. When my wife looked into flights there wasn't anything straight there, they had layovers so I figured I'd grab a rental and go to avoid hassle.

HA! That was probably me in some thread. Only thing is have not yet driven it home. This stuff does look great though and will help keep it chip free for the PPF I am lining up whenever I do get it home.

Yep, it was you. Great idea, thank you for posting it. I’ve read so many threads here I can’t keep them straight anymore. Clearly I need my truck to not have so much time. LOL What’s funny is I really have zero time but keep coming on here.

I read some reviews on Amazon that say it leaves glue residue. Little concerned about that but can’t test because it’s not here yet.

I’m sure this is fine for air travel. I remember somebody else planing on using temporary ppf in a form of coating rolled directly on to the paint. Airlines are really picky when it comes to transporting fluids.

BTW, for those of you picking up your trucks out of state, how are you planning on driving them back? Hit the interstate straight out of the dealer lot or, stay on some side roads for the first couple hundred miles to allow more shifting and very engine RPM’s and loading?

I was thinking side roads for the first 300 miles or, until I get really tired of it and then the interstate for the second 300. Any thoughts?
