Well if Ford follows suit with BMW & Tesla, next will be a subscription service for you to be able to use your heated seats, adaptive cruise control, radio....who knows.

Mine already has Alexa but received this update notice last night. Wish there was a way to disable it with Forscan...

I wouldn't be so sure of that.

Toyota started it with their monthly subscription to use remote start. BMW went off the deep end and are charging to use just about everything. That was including Carplay and Android Auto until a huge backlash caused them to back pedal on at least that..

It's only a matter of time before Ford jumps on the Car features as a service model and starts charging customers to use standard features just like BMW...

I remember it took many months for me to receive an OTA after receiving my ‘21. That was December of 2020.

Give Ford another year or two and they will probably implement their billboard ads on Sync that they patented a year or so back. ?

You guys and your sci-fi trucks, harrumph. I just got 2.8.3 last week. January 2021 build. Finally have rear cameras while driving! Honestly why Alexa in the car? I hope it can be disabled.

yup mine happened sometime yesterday ...first time i ever got a ford pass alert notification of updates.

she still recognized me this morning

which also brings up a question. does ford pass talk to truck even when its off and the app is closed?
I ask becasue we were moving the stones around the driveway extension , which is next to truck
my key fob was in the house, but my phone was laying on the truck tool box in the shade.
each time i walked by the front of the truck...it made a noise like it saw the key???
