I placed a F150 factory order back in March, signed the Order Agreement and placed initial down payment, upon delivery of the truck the dealership informed me that they would no longer honor the contract that I had signed with them because Ford had raised the price of the F150 line (weeks after I ordered the truck) and also that I wouldn't be getting one of the rebates because I missed the deadline (I signed the Order on 3/28, they waited until 4/4 to place it, rebate expired 4/1). I was told at the dealership this was the way it was and there were no other options. A couple of days after I started thinking about it more and looked online and saw that Ford would actually credit the dealership for this discrepancy and that was supposed to be passed back to consumer (initial contract would be honored). I contacted the Ford Customer Relationship Center (800-392-3673) and after speaking to a Rep., she seemed to understand my concern and asked for documentation, opened a case number and said she would be in contact. Several days had gone by with no word, so I reached out again, was told to expect a call in a couple days, again nothing. I called back today and was told it was a marketing issue, not customer care, but that they would still contact me regarding the case #. I was hoping that getting a case number would get me closer to having this resolved, but seems like it's getting stalled now. Has anyone else gone through this? Wondering if someone has, if they had any contact information for the correct department. I'd prefer to have this handled in a cordial, business way, but thinking now I may be better off just getting an attorney involved.

I would post the name of that dealer here and on every social media there is, including their pages. I would then call BBB and inform them of the issue.

Then call a lawyer since you have a signed purchase agreement to see what you could do.

I would also call/email the upper management of Ford to inform them of this dealers shady tactics. Easy to google their names. I include the CEO in this as well.

I would absolutely agree doing what Mntman1 suggested. This was my #1 concern after waiting 32 weeks to pick up my truck! They tried their games, but I didnt give in. I just picked mine up this past Monday and we started negotiating at the msrp of back in December 2021. You absolutely should be paying the price of what you signed for at the time of order and you should get to select the incentives you want, either time of order or purchase date....I did time of order since I got 60 months at 0% APR and $500 cash back. I wouldn't wait too long to make a decision in what you want to do. I have no idea how long they have to wait till you "forfeit" the order.

Problem is I already picked the vehicle up. I was there for 6 hours (no exaggeration) while they played the game and told me there was no other choice. I was tired of it and signed new slip, slept on it a couple nights and got pissed and here I am now. I also agree with the first post, I will be contacting an attorney on Monday and emailing whatever emails I can find at Ford. I did see contact information for Farley (supposedly) somewhere on another forum I'll look for

I would advise not using social media as a tool to fix the issue because of a counter suite of smudge reputation of dealer. BBB yes but that may not have affect your seeking. It may require legal representation in this matters that could save one money in legal fees vs five thousand or more paying what dealer asking. It could be many doing this in weeks or months to come.

NO! You might have sealed your own fate by signing a new contract. You already had a signed contract that said they could not change it, and that the only stipulation was that they didn't have to sell it if they couldn't find a 3rd party company to finance it. If you signed a new contract, its a done deal, you never should have signed the new contract.

The problem is that they have you between a rock and a hard place. If you walk out of the dealership to send your emails and make phone calls to attorneys, the truck will be long gone to another buyer on their waiting list.

How is honestly representing your situation with facts a litigation issue? If you give the facts of what happened to you it is the truth not slander. Facts are facts, let the reader decide how they feel about the dealer after they read your experience.

That's exactly what I was afraid of, I ordered it and waited 3.5 months, was worried they'd sell it from under me if I walked out the door

I was going to say that the truth was on your side and that if you were tenacious, you would in fact have a case.

But you signed and took delivery. So that agreement is every bit as binding as any agreement beforehand.

Now my advice would be to put it behind you so it doesn't ruin the new truck experience. In the big scheme of life it was a single vehicle purchase. Nothing more.

Enjoy the truck! They can't mess that up if you don't let them. :)

I second this. Chalk it up to a learning experience and move on. If you hadn't signed a new agreement I'd have said fight on.

This Currie outfit is something else. They were advertising "demo specials" with incredibly low prices on their website awhile back. I called several times about an Edge and Explorer they had listed, and talked to a different sales person each time. Each one would first say indeed they are available, but needed to double check and put me on hold. Upon their return, the story was ALWAYS "the Vehicle is in the process of being purchased currently as we speak, but come on in so we can fix you up with something else. I explained I was from out of state and looking at those specific vehicles, with cash in hand and ready to head that way in a moments notice, and wasn't interested in anything else.

The Edge, Explorer, and other demos stayed listed for weeks. I would call/email again and be told the same old story. I knew somebody that would be traveling by the area, and gave them the mission of finding these specific vehicles (by VIN or stock#) on the lot for me. As expected, each of them were still on the lot.

I called again and talked to a sales manager, and called him out on this shady BS advertising they were doing, with no intentions of selling the vehicles for the advertised price. He replied that they don't sell to anybody from out of state, and hung up the phone on me.

These specials stayed up a couple more weeks, and then they were all removed at the same time.

I'm sorry you got hosed by these unethical con artists. It's sad that there are still dealerships that take pride in scamming customers out of their hard earned money with these bait and switch tactics. They're the lowest of the low, indeed.

+1

Sadly when you are confronted with a "shady" practice or situation your decision is to either accept it, or walk. If you walk you can still fight it, but start signing new contracts your options are limited.

Enjoy your new truck and look forward. Many many others are ripped off far worse so look at the glass as half full and never go back to that dealership again. When they send you letters about bringing your truck in for service take that letter and send it back with a new letter attached. Calmly explain that you believe you were ripped off. State what Fords procedure is for reimbursing dealerships (find the info here in the forums from Granger) and that you believe they acted in an underhanded way. Because of this you will never go there again and will let others know of your experience dealing with this dealership. You are not going out of your way to badmouth anyone, but you clearly state the facts about Fords procedure and how you were ripped off. Nice and easy without any threats and maybe you will get a response. Probably not, but maybe.

This may be your recourse since you signed off on the new deal and if you do not get a response, get in your new truck and go for a nice drive. Good luck.

I have the Ford Bulletins on price protection that would have shut them up quick. Won’t do you any good now since you signed but I’ll post them up later today when I get my laptop fired up. Sorry man, they got you good.
