^ Wheels will do that if one of the balancing weights came off. Did you check balance?

Don't think I'm missing balancing weights just checked and each tire has the same amount.
They come in different weights, and are not all the same.

I had something similar happen and the dealer confirmed a weight fell off a wheel causing the steering vibration at highway speeds.

Joining this conversation unfortunately. Vibration started at about 5,000 miles so I had the tires rotated and balanced. The problem persisted and actually got worse within a few weeks. Attached is a video of the steering wheel vibration. I do have a leveling kit and aftermarket wheels and tires. But I don’t think that is the issue. Any feedback is appreciated.

Would you mind to tell me which dealership you went to? I am in London, and I think my new XLT may have a similar issue, the vibrating engine/transmission, and I feel it thru the gas pedal.

Thank you

Transmission shudder thread talks about this. TSB 22-2224 was recently released to address a shudder at highway speeds. I had it applied and it helped for about a week and then the shudder came back. Seems to be intermittent. $80k and it's the worst ride quality I've ever experienced in a new vehicle.

Replying to my own comment ?
So the local dealer tells me this is almost certainly a wheel/tire issue but the only way to verify this is to do a “road force” balance for $300. I’ve never heard of this but Google will explain if your in the same boat as me. To their credit, they suggested I call the tire shop where I had the tires rotated to see if they would re-check the balance. So I called the tire shop and they said they would re-check the balance for free since it has been less than 30 days and if they need to do the “road force” balance it is $15 per tire. $60 for all 4 tires vs. $300 at the dealer. I’ll post the results once I have had the road force balance.

All I can say is good luck. Ford has replaced tires, torque converter, drive shaft and performed the TSB that was to supposed to fix the vibration. After they admit there is a problem, they have now declared it characteristic and won't be doing anymore. Thousands of these trucks have this issue. The Ford engineer who inspected my vehicle twice says it is in the torque converter/transmission. My truck has been in the shop for 3 of the 7 months I have owned it. Trading it on something else soon, definitely not a Ford. Ford is trash.

The road force balance was done on my truck and they are well within spec so it’s not my wheels or tires. Hmmm, what to do next…

I also started having vibrations after a tire rotation at around 4000 miles. I was right before a 2000 miles trip with towing so decided it would be a good idea to rotate the tires. As soon as I left the dealer, my steering wheel, truck, seat, butt, started vibrating at around 70 mph. I went back the next day and they balanced the wheel. It fixed the problem for a while, now I am having a much milder vibrations starting at around 68 mph, nothing like those in the video.
My point is though - if a wheel is balanced, it is balanced, it should not matter if it is in the front or back, so I am not sure why the vibrations started and why was a wheel balance necessary. I never ever had to do a wheel balance after tire rotations in any other vehicle.
Also, I am not sure what a "Road force" Balance is, but should this be done under warranty, if the vehicle is vibrating like this?

Road force balance is a process where the force pressure or weight on the tire as it is being spun on the machine. This is to simulate how the tire performs when on the road. If you have the factory tires and wheels and it has been 12 months or less the dealer should do it under warranty.

It is not a tire problem. I'm on the third set of tires, and second set of rims, all road forced balanced and the vibration is still there. Its not your tires. Don't let the dealership waste your time and money on it being a tire problem.

Hey there! I can look into your F-150’s vibration concerns on my end if you’d like. Will you send us a private message with your VIN and dealership info?

After 3 months in the shop Ford has determined that the vibration is "characteristic". They know there is a problem or they would have not tried to fix it. They replaced the drive shaft, torque converter, all 4 tires, road force balance and a TSB. There is a real problem with the transmission according to the Ford engineer who has inspected by truck twice. This is Ford's way of washing their hands of the issue. I am selling the Tremor back to he dealer at a loss, after owning 20 Ford vehicles this will be my last.
