No, the Ford engineer that inspected my truck decided all the vibration and clunking was normal. The bottom line is the 10 speed as it is now is not ready for the street. There are lawsuits pending over this. The problem is huge and expensive. Advice to me from a Ford employee who is a friend...
Same story here. It is not the tires. It is in the torque converter/transmission. It is a known issue. Ford declared mine characteristic, which means they will not fix it. I just sold my truck back to the dealer.
After 3 months in the shop Ford has determined that the vibration is "characteristic". They know there is a problem or they would have not tried to fix it. They replaced the drive shaft, torque converter, all 4 tires, road force balance and a TSB. There is a real problem with the transmission...
All I can say is good luck. Ford has replaced tires, torque converter, drive shaft and performed the TSB that was to supposed to fix the vibration. After they admit there is a problem, they have now declared it characteristic and won't be doing anymore. Thousands of these trucks have this issue...
The tire noise is there, but this is definitely different, Ford sent an engineer to look at it. He definitely knew of the issue and agreed my truck had it. It is the same speed range as yours. Please let me know if the shims help. Thank you
I now have all new tires, new torque converter, new driveshaft and the latest TSB. The truck still vibrates the same. Ford knows it is an issue which is good, but they believe they can still fix it. I am beginning to think it is either a bad design or some bad transmission out there. I have been...
Great news, my dealer said it was the drive shaft and that it is an issue right now. Hope to see it soon as it is backordered. Thank you for the update.
I took the service manager for a ride today and he was definitely able to hear and feel what it does. It goes in this Friday to see what they can do. I will let you know what happens.
Same issue here, starts at 55, most noticeable at 60, mostly goes away at about 70. Truck is a 21 F150 Tremor. Oscillating hum, it is most prevalent when accelerating and there is a slight vibration in the steering wheel. Extremely annoying and disappointing, my dealer can't look at it until...
