Current Shipping Delays

That’s what a flat car is but no way that’s correct. Never seen a truck on a flat car they are more for big tractors and that type of stuff.

I tracked it again, and it was on a rail car in Illinois. I think they were moving it from one yard to another, but I am not certain.

Well chat told me on Monday 7/30-8/5 (which was a push back again), just got a Ford tracker email yesterday afternoon saying 8/5-8/13.... F8CK MY LIFE - 1st world problem for sure. If I didn't get A-plan this truck would just be a memory (terrible one at that).

If it wasn't for the $3500 in rebates I probably would have bought a similar truck at another dealer, this week.

That is another thing for me too cause I bought a tonneau cover and floor mats back on June 2nd when the dealer called and told me the trucking company had it and figured it would be there in a day or two...48 days ago and it showed shipped then went back to awaiting shipping like 2 weeks later.

That’s the truth. I have a small fortune sunk into F-150 specific accessories for the 6.5’ bed. I can’t even find a super crew truck on the lot with that bed and powerboost if I want to give up on my order.

I started collecting my bed cover and other parts in February because I wanted to make sure they weren’t back ordered and holding me up. I feel like an idiot for trusting Ford to build and SHIP my truck this year. I had to sink a small fortune into my old truck to make it reliable enough to pull my camper this summer. The whole reason I ordered new was to avoid this crap.

I am right there with you. I literally just finally got my 157" Powerboost last week. Ford waited 3 months after it was built, before it got shipped. Like you apparently, I searched across the country for a truck with the configuration that I was looking for, while waiting 7 months for my ordered truck. I never found anything available, that was even close.

Sorta the same issue. Tonneau, rack and new j jocks fit the kayaks. My family outgrew my Tacoma in size and capability. Long trips pulling my camper didn't work anymore. Got the build date and sold my truck. Shame on me

Yep. I was doing at least a weekly search for similar trucks on dealer lots. Once I got a build date, I assumed there wasn’t a reason to keep searching.

That almost happened to me. Someone was interested in my current truck right around the first shipping ETA I had. My gut told me not to sell until I had the new truck keys in hand. I would have lost out on two vacations if I sold the current truck based on when Ford originally said they would ship the new one.

We knew it was a gamble to sell, but I have a compact car I use for work and the used market was through the roof. We figured we may have to cancel our memorial day trip, never occurred that end of July and August trips would be an issue
