This loud popping issue has now happened twice to me as well. Just happened today. Was going to take it to our local dealer but since the truck has been shut off and restarted I can't duplicate it. Has anyone figured out how to duplicate this when needed? I was using car play when this happened.

Ear plugs guys.

I have some in my console, I'm worried about this happening when the kids are in the car, hope it never happens, but if it does it's just me.

When it happens, pop plugs into ears, drive directly to nearest dealership and let them know that this happened while driving and that turning the truck off may make the issue go away and ideally they won't turn the truck off and contact Ford straight away since this is a huge safety issue.

I can't find it anymore, but apparently Ford a has case number for this, they just can't seem to "replicate it" I'd imagine if they get a vehicle where it's actively happening we may get some resolution.

Maybe @Ford Motor Company could provide some more insight...

I have a 2021 with B and O ultimate, 2800 miles. My God I almost had a heart attack and hit another car. I didn’t know the noise was coming from the stereo but it was deafening. My screen went blank but the sound continued despite the truck being off. Super dangerous. I wrote about this in another thread. You can’t make it stop. Disconnecting the battery isn’t an option pulling a heavy trailer or in traffic. My electric step went out at the same time the lcd went black. They still don’t work. Service appt months away. I can hear it now, gee we couldn’t find the problem. We need to add a third TSB recall for this problem. Someone will, not if, will get hurt

Hi there! Will you send us a message with your VIN and your local Ford dealer? I can look into things on my end.
My VIN is:1FTFW1E56MKF07966. 2021 f 150 B and O ultimate. You cannot know how dangerous this issue is until you experience it. A TSB should be issue to at least alert people to pulling a fuse is the only way to stop the noise

I have a 2021 PowerBoost with the B&O sound system and about 2500 miles on the truck. A week ago I was driving and decided to turn the audio on. As soon as I hit the screen button for CarPlay the system went crazy and started blaring a horrible sound at full volume. Scared the @#$% out of me. It wouldn't respond to any controls so I pulled over into a parking lot. I figured if I shut the truck off it would at least stop - wrong. I turned the truck off, got out, shut the door, messed with the FOB and no change. I finally got back in and drove the 4-5 miles home with my ears plugged and steering with my knee as much as possible (got some really interesting looks from a few people on the way). When I got home I pulled the battery and it finally stopped after a minute or so. I reconnected the battery and as soon as I opened the door it started again. Disconnected the battery again and this time it took maybe 5 minutes to stop, maybe because of the aux 12V battery in the cab. It was dark out so once it finally stopped I just left it in the driveway. I can't tell you how loud it was - like military crowd control loud. The videos attached show it but I think it overwhelmed the mic on my phone and it doesn't convey it well. My ears were ringing for over two hours after my short drive home.

The next morning I pulled the fuse for the amp and took it to the dealer. They had it this whole past week and were not able to reproduce the problem despite driving it and cycling the sound system on and off many times. I made it very clear that this isn't just a weird problem, it's a serious safety issue. They didn't disagree. I requested that they replace whatever in the system was most likely to be the cause which I assumed would be the amp but who knows. They denied the request and said they couldn't do anything about it, so I just have to pick up the truck today. This really sucks because I don't trust it now. I'll have to keep the fuse panel cover off with some kind of handle attached to the amp fuse in case it does it again. It's not easy to get to and I need a quick stop option if it does it again. I'm also concerned that the speakers got damaged but according to the dealer they are fine. We'll see... This whole thing is just a totally unacceptable situation.

I just wanted to post this to document it in case it's not an isolated incident. The dealer said if it does it again to just pull the amp fuse and not disconnect the battery so they might be able to diagnose it. They think the overnight battery disconnect reset everything which makes sense but it doesn't give me any confidence in the thing going forward.
This just happened to me today! I have a 2022 Ford Raptor with 800 miles on it. Scared me to death and I had to pull off to the side of the highway because the sound was unbearable and I had no clue what was happening.

Turned the truck off and it still went on. The volume nob also did not work at all.

it finally stopped about 10min after I got out of the truck.

After spending $100k on a truck, I would hope to get an answer or some help regarding this issue. It is a MAJOR safety issue and someone is going to end up getting killed from this.

Glad you were able to pull over safe. It's shockingly loud huh? The list is really growing here, and I'm sure this is just a subset of people who found this thread and decided to post to it. I wonder how often this is actually happening...

Hey there! I can look into your F-150’s sound system concerns on my end. Will you send us a private message with your VIN and dealership info?

'22 F-150 Tremor
This Just happened to me yesterday. I have a ’22 F-150 Tremor with the B&O unleashed system in it (purchased it May 5th). Scared me half to death. I pulled over, turned off my truck, and opened/closed the door so everything was off and then restarted it. The horrible noise wouldn’t go away. I then decided to drive the vehicle back home while the speakers were still blaring the awful sound. It was hard to even talk to my wife in the passenger seat over all the noise. I took a video of the incident where you can hear the noise and see that my audio was turned off.

I took it the dealership first thing this morning and they gave me the same racket about not being able to do anything unless they can replicate the problem. I also showed them the video I took of the incident for proof/help in identifying the problem.

To make things worse, I am moving to Canada for work in a few weeks and we are taking the tremor on the 58-hour road trip. In fact, we bought this truck to be a reliable 4-wheel drive vehicle for the snow up there. As the road trip looms over us, I cannot imagine having to make that drive with a sound system that has a mind of its own. Especially with a 90lb lab in the back seat. I wish I had total confidence in my brand new truck, but I currently do not.

This happened while my wife was driving and unfortunately caused her to get into an accident. Luckily not a serious one.

Yikes.
This needs to be addressed ASAP. Why hasn't there been any information/warning about this released by Ford? Dealer say they can't do anything about it unless they can replicate it. Definitely not looking forward to this happening again....

This is a lawsuit waiting to happen. I get not being able to replicate it means they can't do much at the dealer level, but how the hell is Ford corporate not looking into this??

mine occasionally will make a loud pop if some one calls me and it goes through sync. its like a loud static POP then goes back to normal
it has to be a program issue that detects incoming calls or???
