Thank you for reaching out. I'm scheduled for the dealership next week now (they ended up overloaded this week). I'll give them a chance to address the current issues and if need be I'll get back in touch with you.
Well, it's a bit over a year after I originally started this thread and it happened again. I started the truck and the horrible noise blared for a couple of seconds, but then changed this time to just a lower volume white noise hiss. Same as before otherwise. It didn't stop when the truck was...
Wow - interesting it's getting that attention. Thanks for posting that link. I just wish Ford would figure it out and find a fix. Again, I can imagine it's not easy, but this is a really bad problem worthy of some serious resources. Ford has been a bit quiet on this forum lately which makes...
Thank you for the link. I just submitted a complaint too...

Yep - it's claimed another victim. Sorry to hear. I've said before I can understand why this is a tough one for Ford to root cause but the clock is really ticking for something serious to happen. Then the lawyers aren't far behind. Wish someone would get a real answer on this but all I see are...
Glad you were able to pull over safe. It's shockingly loud huh? The list is really growing here, and I'm sure this is just a subset of people who found this thread and decided to post to it. I wonder how often this is actually happening...
Exactly!! I'm sure this has to be a tough one for Ford to root cause but man I hope they figure it out soon. Definitely a bad situation. So far mine hasn't done it again but like others said, I'm just waiting for it still every time I drive the thing.
Mine was another customer's order so I don't know how long it took. The dealer couldn't get in touch with whoever ordered it and I just happened to be there to order mine the day it hit the time limit (November of last year). It was almost exactly what I was planning to order so I just got lucky...
Sorry to hear that - it's crazy how loud it is though huh? I thought for sure there would be speaker damage but mine seem to be ok. Hasn't done it again since that one time and I use car play every day. I still don't fully trust it either.
That's good the dealer told you Ford knows about it...
Wow - sounds similar. It took Ford a few weeks on it with me too. I sent several emails. The initial person who responded hit a wall with it maybe (understandable given how weird the problem is) and then a while later I got a notice from someone different who offered up the warranty extension...
Sorry to hear that, but I'm glad someone else can confirm how dangerous it could be. Lucky yours was parked when it happened.
For what it's worth, Ford told me not to disconnect the battery if it happened again because it resets everything and they couldn't do any meaningful diagnostics on it...
Man, if this is actually common with the PB it's an unfortunate miss with the design. I've never driven a car that does this. It's still just an annoyance but we spent a lot of money on these things...
I got a call from Ford yesterday but I was on a work meeting. I called back and left a...
Same here - it varies day to day.
Well, I was initially very impressed that Ford contacted me on this thread and the guy I dealt with over PM was great. But the specialist that got hold of me later is a let down so far. They emailed saying they had tried to call me but hadn't, which isn't a...
Yep! Wish I had earplugs the other night for sure. I'll definitely have them if it happens again.
FMC saw this post and has actually assigned me an escalation case number already!! That's pretty impressive! The week at the dealer was a bust but hopefully something will come of it.
I agree that the noise doesn't seem to have any relation to actual braking performance. I thought I was feeling an inconsistent boost level at slower speeds now and then but it's probably just the transition from regen braking combined with downshifting or something. Certainly nothing dangerous...
