Just called Ford again and my truck is still waiting to be loaded onto Northern Suffolk rail car at Melvindale, MI. Still stating ETA no later then 7/6

There is an end to the tunnel! Just shy of 4 months from order to delivery. ETA was 6/19-6/25 but arrived 6/8 with pick up today 6/10.

I absolutely love it, and it was well worth the wait. I haven’t driven anything with this long of a wheel base in a LONG time and I am still getting used to swinging it though. Tips from the crowd are appreciated ?

Love the truck all around though.. can usually average about 24mpg most trips

The ride reminds me of driving in a 1975 Fleetwood...you know those old land yachts that required someone to man a tiller in the rear seat to get around a corner.

I am also getting used to driving a vehicle with a turning radius the size of a football field. I'm finding that it helps if I back in to parking spots. I'm not really sure of the physics of why it works better, but I'm mighty glad for the 360 cameras.

The wait was so worth it. The finance manager said that it had sat at the rail yard for a week before it made it over to the dealership. She said its been so messed up and unpredictable.

Well colour me surprised! My dealer updated me, my truck rolled into the local railyard today. They said 5-10 days for them to unload it and bring it to their place.

Not bad speed to Western Canada - and bang on Ford's ETA if it all pans out

This is very interesting. I emailed with the Horsham sales team yesterday to say my truck is at the railhead and I will be 5 minutes away this weekend if it is ready. The response was "we don't advise making travel plans until we tell you it's ready". I replied with additional info and haven't heard back yet.

typical, my dealer effectively told me the same by ignoring me.

They are just doing their job, I get it, but for us this is a once in a decade 'journey' and they are really leaving a bad taste by leaving us in the dark.

I have family there and we're traveling up for a memorial service, so I laid it on.

Sadly, I doubt the dealer has any control over when the truck arrives.

They have about as much control as what they have sympathy for us buyers at this stage. They could really do a better job at managing and setting the expectation.

I know they don't have any control over delivery, but it would be nice if they could expedite receiving and prep.

Chapman also told me they need to send away for plates from my home state when I ordered. I'm not sure how long that adds to the pickup time frame, at least a week if not two. Kind of a shame, I can get a 20 day temp tag in 15 minutes and fly down the same day if allowed to do so.

I wonder if it will all come together before July 4th but I have no info either way on that yet. I'm dropping my current F150 off for a detail tomorrow and then onto FB marketplace ASAP. It's starting to feel real now!

Good luck on FB marketplace. I couldn't sell my last 2 trucks for any kind of value on there. Last time 2011 F350 diesel lariat (mint) couldn't bring close to my asking price. Dealer gave it to me in a heartbeat on trade and I asked for a little more

On my current 2020 F150 People want it for 10k less than my asking price and 7k less than what the dealer is giving me on trade.
