Failed TSM 22-2117 error message back server error

I was performing the TSB 22-2117 today and I get this error:" Exception trying to obtain diagnostic files from the backend server to repair this vehicle. This could indicate the VIN has been locked out." It is very repeatable.

I am new to my monogoose, but I have gotten numerous other updates through. Anyone know what my error message really means? Of course APIM did not work, I had no GWM update listed.

I cant find any mention in the FDRS post

The TSB mentions that there is a certain amount of attempts that can be made before you get locked out for a few weeks. I think it’s 15 attempts over 20 days? Any chance that you’ve hit that limit?

TSB-22117 has been superseded by TSB-2150. New TSB suggests there may be some VIN's not eligible.

I put in the shop a few weeks back for the TSB I have no clue how many times they tried or how they screwed things up.
My ODC, ADD and many other acronyms are kicking off know. Truck is over a year old how much longer must I wait for features I paid for.

Called ford abut the backend server issue, and of course they are not willing to help. Their plan suggested since my dealership struggle try others. Really drive around the country and try random dealerships. Man

I wonder how you find out if a VIN is not eligible??

You have to be in fdrs and run the repair module program unfortunately on the truck

Good luck. Mine is going to shop next week finally got someone from ford OTA team to pay attention. They will help out the tech on the ground. Maybe stupidly I have hope it will get fixed or at least a new APIM module.

Interesting side note she mentioned these forums about updating the Apim and when pressed about making a recovery usb she stated that’s what they were trying to avoid with the OTA
