Pushed back again. Interest rates rising and my current truck keeps racking up the miles.

For info, how do Ford Credit incentives work In this scenario? Time of order, time of delivery? My resident location or Grangers?
Your resident location will be what incentives are based off of. Incentives will be locked in at time of order but you will get to choose between those or the ones at time of pickup, whichever is better. I want to say this locks in financing rates as well but I could be wrong so take that with a grain of salt.

My order sheet from @Granger Ford says "any rebates at delivery". I assume that means any incentives that are applied are based on what is available at delivery and not the either or scenario.

I’m wondering the same thing with the interest rates rising, hopefully they were locked in at time of order (ordered in January) Ford credit rates have almost doubled.

Finance often doesn't work that way though.

FWIW when I asked Chip this question in an email prior to placing my order he replied that financing would be based on terms / offers in effect at the time of delivery, not any that expired prior to that time.

This distinctly different from Ford other-than-financing package discounts, which he explained I could choose between those in effect at time of order OR those in effect at time of delivery, whichever I prefer. The Ford package discounts in effect at the time of my order were documented on the order sheet I signed when I submitted my deposit.

Weird, since this is also covered in the same place in Smart Vincent where you select the price protection date.

Tim from Long McArthur lays it out, including historical financing rates and what it exactly looks like in the system (link to relevant time stamp):

Well, given current financing rate trends it'd likely be a great advantage to receive the Ford Credit terms that were available on my order date - thanks for that link, I hope the situation described is still valid, it'll certainly be a topic for discussion with Granger when mine arrives and we talk financing.

Yes, completely agree and this is why my frustration is mounting over the repeat of 2021 order delays. I waited until late fall/early winter expressly because of last year’s issues, only for my build date to roll downhill going on three months. Our deposit is non-refundable for allocation reasons that are totally understandable and justified by Granger. Ford is dropping the ball here, not the dealership. I want to be very clear in that respect.

Yes this order process saves me money on the cost of the truck. Yes Granger has been fantastic thus far. But Ford’s very real and troubling scheduling issues, in concert with the numerous recalls being issued on 2021 trucks, combined with the also very real financial implications of growing interest rates and the continued depreciation of my current vehicle as I wait; makes this process frustrating, to put it mildly.

If you haven't made changes to your order you should be a priority 2 but you can check with ford chat I believe. I believe Granger puts all orders at priority 10 (even though your order sheet may have shown priority 19) but could be wrong. If you make changes to your order Granger has to move it back up to priority 10 in order to do so.
Bringing this back to confirm that Granger does NOT automatically change orders to priority 10. I ordered back in February and have not been given a VIN yet. Ford chat just now confirmed my order is still a priority code 19.

ford chat confirmed I’m at priority code 17. Not that it means much at this point.

We do not automatically put your priority code at a 10, but we do go through our lists often and change priority codes based on when the order was submitted. Our efforts can often prove useless however. Ford may pick a priority 19 over a 02, we have no control on which truck they decide to build.

I can attest to this, as I was a Priority 19 but VINd in one week back in Feb.

And Zach, this only rates orders in relation to a dealership's own orders, not the order system as a whole, correct? Like a 02 from Dealership A doesn't matter to a 19 at Dealership B. It only matters in relation to other orders at Dealership A?

May Allocation Update:

Our May allocation has recently been released and I wanted to share the news!

We have been allocated 54 F-150's for the month of May to be built in June. Out of our April Allocation, 21 have been scheduled and 44 remain. This leaves a total of 98 unscheduled F-150's to receive VINs by the end of may with our allocation. Currently we have 210 active orders at this time.

If Ford were to go in sequential order, All orders up to February 2nd, would receive a VIN by the end of May. Please keep in mind that due to constraints and many other factors, that this is very unlikely, but should give you an idea of what to expect. Once Ford has determined which F-150's they're going to build, Ford will contact those customers by email with their VIN and scheduled build week.

Current commodities to be aware of and should be removed or you risk not having your F-150 scheduled for 2022,

Per Ford:
Please be aware of the current product optimization actions (EFC09899 & EFC09922)
Start/Stop Removal
Active Park Assist Removal

All Granger Motor's customers have been contacted regarding this issue.

I hope this gives you a good understand as to what to expect the next few months.
