Anyone have window problems?

This window issue just showed up on my drivers side window.. luckily I remembered this thread and was able to do the up/down and hold method a few times and fixed it. So random!

My window issue is a little bit different.

My driver's side window won't go all the way down. And when I say "all the way down," I mean ALL the way down. It stops about 1/2" from completely down. It doesn't matter if I use one-touch or hold the switch down, it always stops about 1/2" to 3/4" from completely open. It's almost as if it gets stuck and the motor just gives up (much like GM truck windows when going back up) because I can easily push the edge of the window down the rest of the way.

In the grand scheme of things this is quite minor, but it does bug me that the window I will be using the most already has issues compared to the passenger side that rolls down completely.

So I just got my 2021 xlt a week ago. Flawless until yesterday, loading the kids into the truck and the door panel definitely got wet. Then came the window roll back issue. Of course, I was frustrated because it’s a new truck, but after 5 failed attempts, and 5 minutes of playing with it I finally got it straightened out thanks to the info in this thread. I’m now a member. This is better than google. Thank you guys for your contributions!

Appreciate you all for this post. This just happened to my truck where the driver side would not stay up and go down 4 inches. The reset process worked and all is good now. This saved a trip to the dealer with a 2 minute fix.

Hi all,

My 2021 justed passed 10k miles and I encountered this issue.. thanks for the info! Ir worked on the passenger side, but I still have a problem on my driver side. It'll only go down about half way. I'm taking it to the dealer tomorrow for a door lock freezing issue and going to raise this as well.

I developed window bounce back on driver side shortly after getting mine. Dealer reset everything, which didnt help. Couple weeks later they told me there's a fix for it now. Took it back in and it's been pretty good since, except for just a few bounce-backs. The fix is good for both sides BTW...

Update: Got the window bounceback again. Dealer sprayed silicone spray in the rubber window channel. That was a week ago and been good since. I don't drive a lot and not even every day, so that don't really mean anything. Time will tell.

My rear driver side window won’t go down today. Passenger rear goes down no problem. Guess I’ll be going to the dealership. And no it’s not frozen it’s not that cold out it goes down a half inch and then stops

Window problems? Yes. This is my 4th trip to the dealership in a year. Never once has this fix been discussed. I’ve asked several times if there was something I could do at home. Each time they say no. I’ve had the “computer” reprogrammed 3 times and the “window module” replace. Same issue again. Super frustrating. 2021 F150 XLT.

I've had driver window bounce back since i got the truck last July. Several visits to the dealer getting reset and updated, including silicon spray in the rubber window channel and I'm still dealing with it, besides several other unfixed issues. Not impressed. Not sure I'd buy another one for a couple years till they hopefully get the bugs out.

We finally had some nice weather so I had my driver and front passenger windows open a few inches while driving. When I got home and parked, I pulled up on both switches for one-touch close and to my surprise the passenger window started rolling back down once it got to the top. Holding the switch up closed the window, but looks like I've got the same issue as a lot of you. If it keeps up I'm going to try the troubleshooting, worst case have the dealer take a look when I take it in to swap the wheels next month.

I have window problems, 3! 1) My front passenger window came with a tiny crack didn’t think much of it until it cracked from top to bottom, they wouldn’t replace it under warranty, 2) my front windshield cracked all the across on a super cold day from the defroster, no rock, no warranty replacement, $1,200, 3) and two weeks ago my sunroof blew apart on the highway for no reason! Loud and scary, they are not sure if it will be covered under warranty, currently waiting for parts. This is crazy and expensive. 2021 King Ranch that I keep in immaculate condition.

This just happend to me 3 days ago my window kept coming back down i thought the window channel was to tight thinking it was a hand there and making it come back down.
But tonight I noticed my window only goes down 3/4 ,of the way on the passager front door!

Before you take it in have you followed the steps in the manual to reset the one-touch?

Resetting One-Touch Close
Carry out all steps within 30 seconds of starting the sequence.
Close the window.
Press and hold the window control switch until the window is fully open. Keep the window control switch pressed for a few seconds.
Lift and hold the window control switch until the window is fully closed. Keep the window control switch held for a few seconds.
Press and hold the window control switch until the window is fully open. Keep the window control switch pressed for a few seconds.
Lift and hold the window control switch until the window is fully closed. Keep the window control switch held for a few seconds.
Note: Repeat the procedure if the window does not close when you use one-touch.

Yikes. This is why I have zero deductible for glass... Darn rocks
