This doesn't sound (smell) right. Are you sure they got a new part for you? With the crossed signals here, I would run over to look at the part before/during installation.
I would not know if it is correct or not. I know the part number is correct that was ordered.

Until I actually pickup and drive off with my truck I will assume the other shoe will drop. I do not want the call that says "OH I'm sorry we thought we had the part but this was for another customer"

That did happen to me. Was told on March 10th the part was in. 60 seconds later. Ooops. No it's not. It was a mix up with the old -S part. Probably should make sure it's the newer -V or -W depending on your bed size.

maybe blend date, to see if it was just a bad batch, or worse? mileage at first notice of an issue?
Those sound good, What about "drivable" as we have some who have no access to their truck at this time.
Do we want "compensated" or similar for those who got something from Ford?

if i had ordered a new Powerboost the day i dropped off my current truck, id have the new one by May 1st.

and i'd gladly take a brand new truck with 8 miles on it than a truck with 2k miles on it that i havent even seen in 7 weeks that overheated on Day 3 of driving it.

plus, who knows the condition its in right now. my patience is wearing thin.

Parts seem to be slowly trickling in. This is promising despite my ford rep emailing me literally 5 minutes ago saying no change lol.

Congrats on getting your truck back and getting to actually enjoy it!

I believe Ford Motor Company and my Dealer KNEW of this defect BEFORE I bought my truck. I believe they made a "business decision" that it would be cheaper and easier for THEM to sell me their failure and worry about dealing with me later.

Just called my dealer. Got the usual answer: "No update on part, no ETA neither". Day 47 for me. Short bed.

I really feel for you guys that are still waiting. I'm incredibly lucky that I got mine after only 3 week wait. I now have almost 1k miles post fix and no leaks or codes so pretty confident it's fixed. I would really like to know what caused the failure though. Defect in plastic? freezing?

Finally back in my truck. I asked this Morning when I would be able to pickup my truck and was told they didn’t know if they could get to it today. That was a no go. I was nice but got my point that I at least needed to know when they would start the repair. Then called my sales guy and he was also able to help. They called a tech in to make sure they finished mine. They said they also took care of the recall but my ford connect app still says incomplete.
How long does it take to update the ford connect app?
