Sure - I keep coming back to check on the coolant issue and now I've got a "trailer brake warning - see manual" (the morning after driving it home in the rain). What would you want to track? Just this issue or others as well?

Tracking the Part would be awesome but would need to separate based on Bed Length since they are different part

Ford covered my April payment. which is a good chunk of change considering i did 36mos 0%apr.

I will be asking for much much more than that before this is over.

Did you finance through ford or through a different lender? I wonder how likely ford would be to cover a monthly payment for a non ford loan…

through Ford. they basically cut me a check for my last payment. i just sent them my statement.

Fortunately, this recall is only a software flash they have to do at the dealer. No back-ordered parts. ?

Yeah, maybe date first informing dealer of leak, when part was ordered, which part, -v or -w, when part arrived, when installed, did it work? Something like that. Maybe current back order status if you can get it.

I was posting an update to say I talked to Ford Yesterday and my dealer rep this morning and both still saying everything is backordered. They do not know when it will be in.

THEN the Heavens parted and Sun shown down. My phone rang at High noon with my Dealer Rep to tell me that the dealer actually has the Part in hand TODAY! So now they are working on it and should be able to pickup my truck tomorrow. If that happens it will have been 44 days. The part they are installing is the W.

That’s amazing yet I wonder how the communication between Ford and the dealers is so off? 44 days puts you in the 40 club, which is NOT a club I enjoyed being in!

i've deduced the only thing the @Ford Motor Company people do is call the dealer and ask if the dealer has received the part yet. They then call you and say " the part is backordered with no ETA"

not exactly helpful information since i can just do that myself.

When I was talking to the Ford Rep yesterday she must have been reading from some database. She used the same phrase " Nationwide backorder due to Capacity Issue". I was also told an Engineering issue and they are working to resolve it. I'm surprised that even inside my dealer the Parts Department either got a surprise part or did not let the service rep know it was coming in. So for everyone still getting the Backorder update there is Hope that your part is really on the way.

Now I need them to stop working on whatever they are doing and get mine fixed along with the Recall.

This doesn't sound (smell) right. Are you sure they got a new part for you? With the crossed signals here, I would run over to look at the part before/during installation.
