i was one of the first to get it but, as my mechanic said "It looks like it was manhandled during transit and it arrived damaged"

Can anyone, either who had their truck fixed already, or have a confirmation from the Ford rep or dealer that their part is allocated or is in transit to dealer, contact me over DM and and share your Ford case number ? I would want to forward such case number to my rep, and see if she could use it as a reference to "speed things up". Many thanks in advance!

If you have a ford case # and you don't mind sharing it, can you DM it to me ?

Well update: my trucks CEL cleared itself again today lol. Unfortunately today I have an appointment to drop the truck off at the dealer later today. I hope they will still take it and see what’s wrong and not just say it’s fixed. This is the 2nd time it cleared itself.

Are you guys still taking your trucks through car washes?

I’ve taken my truck through a car wash one time in 13 months and 25,000 miles.
The following day I had the code. Coincidence?

Just read through all 20 pages of this thread - what a goat rope! I must admit I didn't like the idea early on of cannibalizing trucks on chip hold as I'm currently one of them for the last three months.

I have an oddball question with talk of envoking Lemon Laws. What happens to Lemon Law trucks? Can the dealer just clear this CEL, fill it up with coolant, and put it on the lot to sell a low mileage truck at a high premium?

Don't know for sure, to be honest. But all lemon'd vehicles are not the same. In fact, as long as I knew THE TRUTH about the issue(s) the vehicle experienced, I would be willing to purchase one of them.

This thread specifically is about an issue that isolated as the ONLY problem the truck had experienced, I would have no fear that the truck is an actual lemon.

My dealer said they would be happy to help me trade out to another truck but they do not have any f150 on the lot. Then it's especially difficult to get a powerboost in and other dealership are unwilling to trade with them because they can make more selling the truck on there own lot. So even if I tried to invoke the Lemon law the only thing that might happen is I would get my current truck sold back to the dealship and I would end up with no truck. So I will wait for now

For those of you who love my little hopeful updates, here's another one. Today, I had my sales guy go check on my truck in their vast parking lot since my Ford app hasn't checked in for a week. He started it up and all is well. Anyway, without me even inquiring, he asked the parts dept. for an update. No ETA, but showed the supplier shipped 54 units to Ford last week (last week I was told 48, so that's encouraging). Once they get them and disperse them, that's when we get tracking numbers. Hope springs eternal that WW III won't get in the way. ☢

Regarding my truck leaking more in warmer temps - last two days/nights have been warm and the tray has been relatively dry (a few splatters, but no puddles), so no clue on temp affecting the leak. Will call today if able for an update on if they have an ETA yet.

I have never taken mine through a car wash. Buuuuut, my CEL can on when I was on the way home from the snow so… water may have something to do with it.

Little update: I dropped my truck off on wensday at the dealer for them to check it out. They set me up with a rental. Yesterday they called and said it was ready for pickup. Service manager said it needs the part but it’s on back order currently. He let me take the truck. I did Not have to sign anything to release the truck. And he said it’s not going to affect anything because it’s not leaking. So now I have to be patient and wait for the part. More good news is that I still haven’t gotten the CEL to come back on yet.
