Whelp, 2 hours on the phone with Ford and there is nothing they can do. They see I have received no OTAs since last Nov which failed. They said at the end of this quarter, (2 weeks), the remaining waves of fixes should come down from the mothership or the dealer. I'm not holding my breath because they have seen NO updates in my history since the failed ones. We all know people have been getting occasional updates reported as FP message and so on. Hence, will I ever get one? Who knows.

I agree with you. My first MongoosePLus I got was dead on arrival, I could see scratches on the connector. The seal looked "used". So i returned it and got a second Mongoose. This also looked used but it works, and when i tried activating it, it says it was already activated.

Considering how rude the Mongoose support person was I wouldn't be surprised if this is the company's business model... At least it works, the second one at least,

Scuffs on the USB connector? I’m sure they plug these into a USB port for testing before they ship. Not saying yours wasn’t returned. But be mindful of this.

Wow! Ok i'm going to wait until March is over then I'm definitely jumping on the train. Reading through the whole thread right now, but this doesn't cancel out any warranty issues does it?

I don't see how it can affect warranty from the perspective that we are using Ford software to deliver Ford updates to a Ford truck using legal licenses to do so.

It's exactly what the dealership would do with your truck in their bay. Except they aren't nearly as good at it, don't want to do it, and wouldn't listen to "the internet" to save their lives. Lol

I believe its fine. On phone with Ford now.... They cannot see any of my OTA history or anything. Connecting me to OTA, again. Ugh.

By validate do you mean after the Sync Screen says that you can remove the USB, then FDRS attempts to scan the module to do the file comparison?

Yes but first it asked me to restart to complete update and I did that. But I might have messed up after restart I didn’t let it tell me to pull USB
