Officially on Chip hold, just talked to dealer and FP, both confirmed that and ETA not showing on their end, sigh......

So, I found the Ford Marketing number - (800) 334-4375 for those wondering. The nice lady who answered the phone advised me that my truck is (contrary to what my dealer told me) on a microchip hold. She also told me that while the system still shows a 3/23 ETA, she does not believe that is realistic. She doesn't know whether that ETA is really meant to be for delivery, or for the date they expect to get the microchip installed. She also told me that it takes up to 28 days to get delivered once built - thus her opinion that the 3/23 ETA is not realistic. (

I "chatted" with someone on the Ford website last week and they told me that my truck will be in production UNTIL 3/22, which was my Estimated Delivery date when it was showing up. That kind of goes along with what you are being told, so hopefully this is true.

As if it hasn't been said enough, the Ford tracker is garbage!

My truck still shows in production, but I just got an email from my dealer advising it is complete and on the way!

I hope this means quick turn arounds for all you guys as well!

Posted this in my current build week club but wonder if anyone from my original group knows anything about this:
The image of my truck appeared in the Ford Pass app tonight. Supposedly my delivery date is between 3/12 - 3/18. I wonder if this is a good sign that it is actually in transit???

I seriously think it's just a crap shoot... My Limited has been on a train since 2/17 making it's way from DB to Spokane, and I still have the Lightning as my App vehicle... But, I really hope it means something for you though!! Good luck!

I'm glad it isn't just me with the graphic of the Lighting in-app and under My Account on the website. I'd love to know what that means and whether there's cause for concern

This was actually a dealer stock order that I found on the Ford inventory site and 'intercepted' about three weeks ago. I originally had a Silver Lariat Sport on order for a day but quickly decided I didn't want to wait 4+ months. Hoping this one gets wrapped up and on its way to me soon! My 2015 GMC Canyon has been relatively good to me after a few early kinks when new, but it's getting small now with one baby and another on the way, and I'm excited to try out some of the new tech goodies.

Finally done with daily IV infusions. There's been another truck delivered, so I'll update this week's spreadsheet. Congrats @JaxCaptain today! It's kind of interesting that some folks are on chip hold yet have the Activate button in their FordPass. Welcome to @Madeinchina and @thebigdu who have been added. FWIW, my own King Ranch order produced on 1/25 is still on chip hold at Ramp 51 in Flat Rock near the Mustang assembly plant.

Thanks Ralph!!! Agreed on the FordPass button. I’m getting sick of staring at a Ford Lightning and no FordPass button but if I’m just going to be given false hope at that point, this might be best after all.
