I've left mine on auto since day 1 of going the truck. But over the last week or so mine have been doing the one swipe upon start up as well where it didn't before. Windshield is not wet.

I have auto enabled in the center stack menu and leave the stalk in the off position. If there is a light drizzle, I move it to the 1 drip position on the stalk. If it raining more than that, I move it to the 3 drip position. It seems to work for me, but maybe there is a better way.

That's exactly what I am doing. Again - old habits. Rain - wipers on; no rain - wipers off. I consider the Rain Sense as helper in determining how much intermediate speed is needed (as in non-rain sense), nothing more than that.
My biggest pet peeve of all, one that bears no excuses in my world , is when people turn their car off while the wipers are in the middle of a "run" and the car is parked with the wipers up in the middle of the windshield as if they just took a doze of viagra. Again - that's pre rain sense wipers, but still ;)
The next pet peeve is people running their wipers on completely dry glass, or when it's drizzling and the wipers are on a full/high speed.

This sounds like a good way to do this. Safer as well, I don't use scratch-O-matic car washes but this seems pretty easy to use them this way.

And SBI, you have a lot of pet peeves with wipers! :)

I use my wipers the same way but they seem to be a little (and sometimes a lot) schizophrenic. Might have a slight drizzle when you would expect a single wipe every 15-20 seconds and they will wipe almost continuously. Other times with heavier drizzle they delay coming on and I have to manually start to avoid obscured vision. Occasionally function as intended but usually very erratic behavior.

Anyone else experience this? I’ve not taken to dealer yet but its starting to frustrate me more and more.
