I don't believe this thread is the appropriate place for discussion on engine break in. I'm sorry I brought it up, I just meant that I have my personal concerns with breaking it in on the highway. That said, I'm still probably going to do it because it probably won't have a significant impact.
There is no certainty or consistency in recommendations from even the manufacturers. You won't get an official statement. Ford used to recommend a break in on all Ecoboost engines with varying rpms and load. So to each their own. My advice would be avoid highway driving on cruise control if possible, but don't fret it if not. Also absolutely do not change the oil early, or make sure you put back in semi synthetic oil if you do. You do not want fully synthetic oil in the engine during run in.

Back to the point of this thread, got confirmation of my order from Ford, now time to impatiently wait. Chip from Granger is the best, highly recommend anyone considering ordering from them to just do it.
