I don't believe this thread is the appropriate place for discussion on engine break in. I'm sorry I brought it up, I just meant that I have my personal concerns with breaking it in on the highway. That said, I'm still probably going to do it because it probably won't have a significant impact.

There is no certainty or consistency in recommendations from even the manufacturers. You won't get an official statement. Ford used to recommend a break in on all Ecoboost engines with varying rpms and load. So to each their own. My advice would be avoid highway driving on cruise control if possible, but don't fret it if not. Also absolutely do not change the oil early, or make sure you put back in semi synthetic oil if you do. You do not want fully synthetic oil in the engine during run in.

Read this if still confused:

Back to the point of this thread, got confirmation of my order from Ford, now time to impatiently wait. Chip from Granger is the best, highly recommend anyone considering ordering from them to just do it.

Anyone do a trade on an order from Granger? Or could I do an in-and-out with Givemethevin?

Any update on scheduling this week. Thanks
Yes, we had 19 left to schedule and only got VINs on 3 or 4. All were Tremor or XLT trims.

Actually doing this tomorrow. I am currently in route to Granger and driving my trade from Texas. I do not anticipate any problems. My trade is a well cared for 2019 RAM 2500, so there is really nothing that I can see that would change the deal. I did price it through Givemethevin, but after the tax savings of over $4k, I was better off doing the trade. In other words, they were pretty competitive with Givemethevin after their first offer.

Thanks for the update. No love for the Platinums.

Did you get your $100 from them? That is what they advertise if they don't beat Carmax.

Vroom was significantly less than Granger and Givemethevin in my case.

Didn't know they offered that.
CarMax was 39,800; Vroom was 38,977; Givemethevin was 36,159.

Don't suppose you can post some updated production insights? Still just KRs and Plats not being scheduled?

How many do you have unscheduled vs scheduled?

My flight from Alaska and driving it back 3,400 miles will cost me $750. I sleep in the truck and buy food in a grocery store... and I get to see amazing sights along the way.
I am looking forward to the road trip back with my 13yo to CA from Granger.
