Received an email last night that I was bumped UP a week into this build week. Previously was a 1/10 build, but looks like I am going to be early.

701a Platinum
Ordered 11/8
Added Adaptive Steering 11/15
Scheduled shortly after
No Special items like bedliner or cover
Headed to Kentucky

Excited to get the truck built a week earlier. Should be a good holiday.

Oh man, if people are getting bumped UP into this week then hopefully it means that people who have been bumped BACK twice already are sure to get built this time!

It's so hard to know what's going to happen. We're about three weeks out (!!) but that still feels like an eternity away to know if they're going to have the same part shortages/shutdowns/etc that have been happening over the past couple weeks. Now that the trackers are down, it's going to be even more infuriating. At least you US folks are getting emails with updates, the Canadian orders don't get any communication from Ford.

Fingers crossed that everything goes smoothly for everyone!

Wondering if the production Christmas break will mean parts will have a chance to be replenished so they can hit the ground running the week of 1/3/22. This assumes, of course, that anyone anywhere in the parts supply chain works at all the week of 12/27. Does Ford build all their own parts from scratch or are there many outside suppliers? Always wondered about that.

My father actually retired for a Tier 1 Ford Supplier, Tokico, who makes suspension parts for several Ford Models including F150's

Ford assembles the trucks, but the majority of the components are made by outside suppliers. For example, the Ecoboost Turbo's are made by BorgWarner, a lot of the electronics are made by Bosch, I believe the sunroofs are made by Webasto, the list goes on.

I have heard Ford has over 1,000 tier one suppliers. Part of the reason a single issue in the supply chain can cause such delays in building trucks.

Wow. Good to know. Thanks. So, maybe it's possible to transport the resupply during the break if any of these companies don't completely shut down after 12/23. And hopefully some parts are not sitting on a cargo ship off of the Long Beach docks. Guess we'll find out soon enough!

Don't jinx us. I am still assuming mid Feb by the time I get my truck. Hopefully sooner as Kentucky is only about 6 hours from Dearborn, but rather be surprised than disappointed.
