Still unscheduled clean. Ford Performance told me to contact my dealer to have them contact the area rep so that the area rep can contact the plant to find out what is going on.

A few weeks ago, at the general recommendation of this forum, I contacted Ford Performance and was told I had a VIN number and was scheduled for 11/08 production. They didn't tell me the VIN, said I would have to contact my dealer for it. I never received an email from Ford regarding a VIN, build date, or otherwise. Dealer seems to be in the dark. Reached out to me to say it was highly likely mine would end up being reordered and built as a 22MY, but that they were still waiting to hear the final word on who was scheduled and who wasn't. I placed my order 09/03. I was by no means expecting my truck quickly; however, the overall lack of information/ communication is getting to me.
How can they have no clue what their plan is. Or at least no intentions of sharing said plan if there is one?
I am interested in this black appearance pkg since I ordered a 502 with a lot of upgrades but didn't like the look of the higher trims as much. Seems like the least they could do would be make the 22MY build tool available to weigh all of the options for possible changes while we wait in limbo.
I don't need the truck immediately, obviously I wouldn't have ordered one at this point if I did. I can only imagine those who ordered months ago because the back and forth and lack of communication is already irritating.

Not saying this is the case at all BUT, it is possible to have a reused order code at a dealer. Sometimes they may have to differentiate by body code to weed out duplicates. So in your case, I would double check with the dealer as they both look at the same system.

I'd recommend checking back with FP chat again and see if they confirm the 11/8 week. I've had them tell me unscheduled a week after I got a VIN and when I asked them to double check they told me they were looking at the wrong order. If FP chat reconfirms the 11/8 date, check back with your dealer. They should be able to pull a screenshot for you of your order in their order management system via dealerconnection.com site with your status... VIN, scheduled week, etc.

Ford is not going to reach out to you and give you tracking info. FP is not going to give you the VIN. Your dealer is the rep for Ford. Tell your salesperson that FP told you that a VIN is assigned to your order number and you want it. Climb the chain until you get it and a scheduled build week.

Seems odd to get a 2021 F150 in March of 2022. If they build it on 2022...doesn't it have to be a 2022?

I'd say if you don't have a VIN by now it is almost guaranteed to be a 2022 if the dealer reissued the order as a 22 if not you may want to have a chat with them

Did you hear this from Ford directly or from your dealership? I ordered on 09/11 and have not heard anything from anyone.

Ordered 2021 F150 Platinum, Iconic Silver

I guess I'll join this thread so I can commiserate with the truckless. I ordered mine mid September and nothing...Doubt I'll see it in 2021. I am getting X Plan pricing, but would forgo that if I could find something on a dealers lot. The challenge is that almost everything on a dealer lot has the sunroof. I'd take that, but certainly didn't order it.

I wonder how many of those trucks sitting in the fields of Kansas will be pushed to dealers?

Call your dealer. They know what won't be built now; and you need to ensure you're registered in COVP (custom order verification program) by Nov 1 to get the $3,500 PCO on your 2022 order.... And you will want to get the 2022 order in. They are not automatically converted, the dealer needs to re-enter it with the same order # as your MY21 order.

But I'm in the same boat; I'd buy one off the lot but finding a blue King Ranch hybrid with a 6.5' bed on a lot likely isn't happening.
