My 2023 STX Build

This is my '23 STX in Hot Pepper Red. So far I have done trailer brake controller, bed lights, changed front emblem to a black tremor one with camera and washer, 12" radio swap, and just added keypad. This is just the start lol. I plan on doing mirrors and add the 360 cams, cluster swap, get it lowered with wheels, and change out heads, tails, and fogs. It's been fun learning these new trucks and keeping me busy on weekends doing things while I am on the road. Some pics of the progress.

Added keypad ? The keyless entry keypad outside of door. Any pics. Any links . How hard was it to do

Yes the factory keypad. It It wasn't to bad once I figured out how to run the wire for the keypad as to not interfere with window. Factory keycode was on the back of the bcm and enabled in forscan. Works perfect, one of the things I missed the most about my 2011.

So it was pretty much plug and play. Other than FORScan..
Did you replace the while molding outside of door or did it just mount to it.

It already had wiring and the keypad combo was pre-programmed? You just had to install the keypad unit?

Yes, the plug is there in the door with a cap on it and if you don't have the keycode card it's on the bcm for the factory code. Also Yes replaced the molding with the cutout.

Yes the code is on the back of the bcm. Only did 1 forscan change to enable it

I've thought about the 12" radio swap but heard it was expensive. My biggest thing is I'd want everything to work. Like the temp controls and all. I don't want to have the app icons for things that doesn't work on my truck. Does yours all work or have things that doesn't work

You should also be able to get keypad code using two truck keys. Cool that you can easily add the keypad to an STX. I use mine often to lock running truck.

Everything works as it should. I have about 1800 in it for the swap. One of my favorites so far

I tried that and it wasn't working so I had to go the other route and find it. My '11 had it and I loved it, I would lock my keys and wallet in it at work.

Thats actually not that bad. I mean it's a little steep but not too bad and it looks so much better being stock and it's a pretty big ass screen.

What about you got into the keypad. I'd love to do both but I have too long a list of stuff to drop 1800 on 1 thing right now. The keypad is definitely something I'd like to do soon as I didn't think it was as easy as it is

It was about 130 for the keypad and the molding with the cutout.
