Xplan with 100 Ford Shares - Timeframe Question

I am looking to place an order for an F150 and my 6 months of ford share ownership is in August. Do you know if I have to wait to place the order until then or can I go to the dealer, place the order, and just tell them my shares will meet the vesting point before the truck arrives given timeframes are so long right now? Does anyone know how it works?

I was never asked proof for X-plan until sitting in the finance person's office. There, they wanted proof of my PIN I obtained from joining EAA. They had never asked for my PIN before that when I said I have X-plan.

I think there is some form to fill out to get your PIN using the 6-months-100-shares but I never did since joining EAA was instant. But like I said, I think you just need proof of the PIN at signing date.

Agree with this, I ordered without having my PIN, you just need it when you actually purchase. Just make sure when you order they accept the x plan and when they print out the order sheet the circle and acknowledge you’re using it.

I would def. double check with your dealership to make sure that they are accepting X-plan and that they will for existing orders if they change their policy again if any other market silliness arises.

When I ordered my truck, I wasn’t quite eligible yet but they checked to make sure that I would be and also, keep all your proof of eligibility handy; since even though I had my PIN for months, Ford still wanted to double check everything.

With the rising fuel prices, the wait for an F-150 might get back to normal!

I ordered prior to having my pin, like others have said your xplan eligibility is only used when you actually do the money paying part.

I live next door to a guy who's family owns the Ford dealership in my town. They would not do the xplan last August. I pulled into my driveway with a new truck 3 weeks later and seen my neighbors smile turn to a frown.
