Agree with this. The camera on my company truck 2024 XL is the same quality as my 24 Lariat.I don’t know how good the cameras are in the XLT’s, but the camera in my 24 XL is really nice. I wonder if it could go on a 22-23?
Ugh......that is what i was afraid of. Thanks for the info. The cameras are the same from xl to Platinum. Same part number
The difference is the signal from IPMA to APIM is Coax(Digital) versus analog for the 8"
For you to improve the picture quality you would have to install the 12" and run the coax to the APIM from the IPMA and then make the programming changes.
All the trucks are digital to the IPMA
Not sure.....picture quality really sucks even with a clean lens. Looks washed outGive it a try. The parts cannot be that different. I’m not sure what you are trying to gain though. I have an XL (stx), 2021, and the camera is perfectly clear, wide enough angle of view for backing, good depth of view, and works every time. It’s clear as long as I wipe the road grime off anyway….. is it possible that you have a faulty camera? Defective?
What I really need to do.The cameras are the same from xl to Platinum. Same part number
