I have a deposit on a stock order that should be here any day now. I have a question about dealer fee's though. I had them quote it and they had the fee's listed higher then the $100 which they are fixing. But there is a second set of fee's they are listing for state registration. Is this correct? The state is PA by the way just in case it makes a difference.

There's a $100 for doc fees and I believe there's a $275 administrative fee added. Just go back to the ford partner web page and there's a whole document that lists all the rules and fees for x plan. The dealer is also required to show you the breakdown of all fees and it'll be broken down where it shows you the price for X, Z, A Plans and also dealer invoice price. They'll probably show it to you when you get the truck in and you're ready to sign. That's something they're required to do.

No but only 0.4% above invoice. Also they cannot charge you more than $100 for doc fees. Dealers in my area typically charge $699 for doc fees. A real ripoff for 30 minutes work.

Hmmm, Ford Authority reported back in December that the Mach E was available for X-Plan pricing. https://fordauthority.com/2019/12/ford-mustang-mach-e-will-be-eligible-for-ford-plan-pricing/

Isnt msrp and invoice the same for Fords Electric vehicles. So xplan really doesnt do anyone any good. The key is to not have them tack on any fees above that.

X-Plan often excludes special or first year vehicles which they may consider the lightning to be (ie Bronco is excluded according to Fords website). But lightning being basically an F150, don’t know if they will or not but since Ford said availability will be limited year one I wouldn’t be surprised if it did get excluded.

As to the original question: yes dealer fees are capped, however you are still responsible for any state fees (licensing, registration, taxes, etc).

Registration fees should be listed by your state. Should be easy to confirm that.
