I need to buy a set of winter tires/wheels for my 2022 and I wasn't planning on installing TPMS sensors. It will be livable or I will constantly have alarms.

My best guess is you will have a constant tpms error in the truck it probally wont be all that annoying just a message, tpms light always on, and maybe a alarm sound on startup. you may also get message in your fordpass app to servive the tpms system if you have it setup. If you can deal with that than go for it otherwise get a set of tpms sensors you can get them for under $100 a set.

i dont like any warning light on so i would just get the sensors and not have to deal with it.

My winter rims, which are on the truck between 2/3 and 3/4 of the year ( live in the land of ice and snow in Canada) do not have sensors in them, and every time I start the truck the flat tire warning flashes then goes solid. A warning comes up that says tires flat so have to push OK to clear.

Also it sends an alert to my Ford Pass App that the tires are flat.

Been like that since I got the winter rims on the 2014, which have been swapped from truck to truck since then.

Is it liveable, yes.

Is it ideal, No.

If you can get a spare set of sensors, probably best to do so.

This year I am getting Falken Wildpeak AT3W tires which are all season, all terrain and are rated really good for winter, so going to put them on the main rims that have the sensors in them.

Yes, I would highly recommend getting TPMS. Gets annoying when your alarm/notification is always on for the tires.

Lots of people change rims to aftermarket rims and you can pick up a set of factory rims with sensors for cheap...

I would do that... and then you have summer and winter rim setup,

You'd think it would be easy to find rims that way but not when looking for specific type.

For just winter use though an old set from prior years tend to be very cheap.

Agree... Just paid $1000 fir (4) new wheels, tires with TPMS sensors for my to be yet delivered Lariat. I would have hard time finding tires for that cost so for me it was a no brainer.

If you aren't in the market for factory wheels cuz you want something different, same as above but in 22" Ford Racing wheels with TPMS included. I bought the set and use them as they are OEM quality and are winter rated finish. I put winters on them for last season.
